Question The Eyes post #1  quote:

Im new here....so hello everybody....
Does somebody knows what the Merovingian meant with the "Eyes Of the Oracle"????????
Was this like (f.e.) "Bring me the head of The Oracle"??? Or does it has another important meaning?

The Oracle has the "eyes" to look into the future. He doesn’t literally mean it. It’s more of a metaphor/sarcastic line he uses. If you have the eyes of the oracle then you would have the power to look into the future. But what good is it just by having someone’s eyes? There is no use for them, how would you be able to look into the future with them?

i agree with chodder for the most part. but i will add that the mero seems to have a 'thing' for eyes. possibly because he can't have the oracle's eyes. i say this in reference to 'enter the matrix'. when you're in the mero's dungeon you can hear prisoners in the background yelling "my eyes" "he took my eyes" or something to that effect (its been awhile since i've played it).

i've considered it. but i think that would make me appear a little too conceited. so i think i'll just stick with being an 80's child with a logic probe! and some provocative hamster pics

Good stuff about the eyes, and I am reminded of Shakespeare's statement that the eyes are "the window to the soul." They also happen to be the most sophisticated organ in the human body. . . ? Maybe Mero is referring to them metaphorically in connection to some type of advanced code that he cannot hack into or break. And I have to mention the obvious allusion to John the Baptist and Herod being seduced by his wife's daughter Salome after her little dance. Then there's the bit about Neo losing his eyes and seeing in a new "hyperreality" way in Revolutions?

BTW, I am still waiting for someone to notice my avatar, but no one but me probably cares.

The funniest music video in the world is Eminem - Without Me, when Elvis is sitting on the toilet, reaches in and pulls out a sandwich and eats it - where did that come from? roflmao
