tax deduction post #1  quote:

I have a small business with one employee. Can I deduct federal taxes that I paid for having this employee? How do I do that? Where do they go on form 1040?
Thanks

I think it's the same form you report your income and expenses for your share of the social security tax and unemployment tax. It depends on your choice of small business forms whether on Form C or net it out on your small business K-1 over to your 1040.

I believe it is just an expense. It is not a deduction, it just is accounted for in your gross income.

Those Exact Terminologies Can Be Confusing To Many post #4  quote:

mkos said the same, being the choice of entity you're chartered by the State and then those figures travel eventually over to your 1040.

The tax code is so unfair to salaried employees. Business owners have so many deductions to reduce their taxes.

There is no prohibition to gaining the more favorable tax incentives to help the economy, create jobs and reduce the national unemployment rate.

METROPOLITAN AREA EMPLOYMENT AND UNEMPLOYMENT: JANUARY 2004

In January, 231 of the 331 metropolitan areas recorded lower unemployment rates than a year earlier, 80 areas had higher rates, and 20 areas had rates that were unchanged, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today.

Five areas registered unemployment rates below 3.0 percent, with four of these in the South. Fifteen metropolitan areas posted jobless rates of at least 10.0 percent; nine of these were located in California, and three were along the Mexican border in other states. The national unemployment rate in January was 6.3 percent, not seasonally adjusted.
