Liv Tyler and Ben Affleck fans will like this. Ben Affleck has left his glamorous life in the city to be a good dad to his daughter after his wife died. Now she is 6, and in comes Liv Tyler. The fun ensues....
Yeah, KS said that Jersey Girl will be his first movie outside of the 'View Askew' universe. Hence, no Jay or Silent Bob. No references to other characters, either.
BUT- I heard that KS is doing an animated Clerks movie, probably direct-to-video.
I really think KS has gone too mainstream with this film. I've only seen the trailer, but it looks to me like your bogstandard American comedy-romance, which is not my type of thing at all. I absolutely love KS's earlier films, in particular Dogma and Mallrats, but this one seems too soppy.

After the artist currently known as Prince came out and said this movie was too rude, Kevin Smith made an official statement to the effect that he thought Crystal Ball was a bad album. I'd say it's blasphemy, but he's pretty much right.
