"I'm a ruthless business woman with a Southern sense of charm." --Amelia (Amy) Henry
Amelia grew up in Arlington, Texas. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University and received her MBA at Texas Christian University where she was recognized as a Neeley Scholar, graduating in the top of her class. Amelia began her hi-tech career at The SABRE Group and then joined as a pre-IPO employee in 1999 at Commerce One, one of the internet's highest fliers during the dot.com boom. She currently works for BetweenMarkets, a hi-tech startup in Austin, TX. Like many in her generation, Amy had millions in stock options but lost almost everything in the dot.com bust.
What is your definition of "success"?
Being able to create a fulfilling life that is focused on continuous personal and professional growth. LIFE BALANCE!
Who do you admire most (personally and/or professionally)?
Donald Trump, of course. And right behind him is my role model, Martha Stewart...You gotta love a woman who knows when to buy, when to sell and when to bake.
What cartoon character do you most relate to and why?
Catwoman...she's got speed, stealth, smarts and that feline sixth sense....but she is a wild, untamed cat and if you are not careful, she may bite!
Yeah, but Amelia's looks can only get her so far. She's been under the radar. Remains to be seen whether she can wither against the storm. Has a good head on her shoulder. Certaintly a contender. Smart cookie with some good street sense.
Amy hasn't been under the radar at all. She has been given lots of face/diary time, she has been shown trying to referee the cat fights, she was the task leader in Epi 2 for the ad campaign, and negotiated a great deal on that golf club.
Seems to have a feel for things.
She is certainly pretty ... but being shown as not just a pretty face. This is the kind of woman who melts men and gets their respect at the same time. The women seem comfortable with her too.
That's why I think with Burnett's twisted editing she may get booted.

Sorry, I missed Epi 2 on advertising. Amy will come out higher because she plays a good role. Maybe she's a front runner now. I'll focus a bit more next show. The show producers and editors can really yank viewer's chain.

Too bad. This past weekend they re-broadcast Epis 2 & 3 back to back.
Amy was pretty sharp, handled Omorosa tactfully, had good meeting with the client, and led the ladies to victory.
This show is produced by Mark Burnett (Survivor) and he is an experienced chain yanker

Decisions, decisions, decisions..... watch the news and talk shows or reality TV shows. Torn between media intake. Hmmmmm, missed that episode again. And I don't use Tivo or a recorder, perhaps that would help.
You could be right, I hope Amy comes out smelling like a ROSE. She deserves to win if she's consistent and can woman-handle Omorosa. Omo is but a wild-card mixed in with the reality show. Someone has to be the protagonist and the other antagonist. The producers got their story line set and matched.

You're welcome. I think you saw Epi3 last night. Amy was the PM in Epi2 ... the Ad Campaign ? She was pretty sharp.

As I mentioned in a previous post, Amy handled Omo pretty darn well in Episode 2.
Run over ? Omorosa is a runaway train and I think Amy is cognizant enough to see it coming and realize it will end up right where she's standing on the tracks.
