"I'm younger than all of them, but I'm underestimated." --Jessie Conners
Jessie was born in Minnesota and endured hardship in her early years. Growing up traveling -- from the city of Minneapolis to a 265 acre farm in Wisconsin with no running water or electricity to an orphanage in Monterrey, Mexico. She now owns her own hobby farm and is a successful business owner. With her home school education, at the age of 17 Jessie started a chiropractic marketing and management company. She currently runs chiropractic clinics and is a realtor in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
What is your definition of "success"?
Success is opening up your eyes in the morning. Taking a big breath in, you look up toward your alarm clock, making out the numbers, and realize that you have electricity. Then, looking up toward the ceiling you stretch out your arms and identify the structure that you are within. You are…Warm and comfortable, dry and safe. And as you take your first step out of bed, it dawns on you that... This day was given to you as an opportunity to serve, grow, and learn. You savor in that moment acknowledging the situation that you are in and give thanks. Then you immediately take ACTION. You make the decision to move forward through new accomplishments whether... physical, emotional, or spiritual. You have realized that each day, each minute is valuable, and no matter your situation or your experience... you search for the opportunity. You are truly successful.
Who do you admire most (personally and/or professionally)?
Out of all the great people of influence that have shaped history, my greatest motivation has come from home. My parents are the inspiration behind my ambition. They are the role models that encouraged me to be "more", and continually push me forward in growth, and love. The integrity, diligence, and perseverance that is continually displayed through their lives, inspires me not only in my personal life, but my business life as well.
What cartoon character do you most relate to and why?
Believing that there is NO LIMIT to a child's ability to assimilate its environment, I guess I would have to, out of obligation to my community, choose a character from Sesame Street. So, the benefit, in fact, would be an investment. Then, through my dedication, and after a significant rise in IQ scores.... I would retire as Bubbles the Powerpuff Girl. I would live out my days wearing cute clothes, and flying through the air conquering evil.
Jessie lives too sheltered of a life. Doesn't have the street smarts in a big city yet. Will get run over by the pack of conniving city slick girls. Won't last long.
Ken NJ said this in post #2 : Jessie lives too sheltered of a life. Doesn't have the street smarts in a big city yet. Will get run over by the pack of conniving city slick girls. Won't last long.
Sheltered ? Small town maybe, but it sounds like she has been bounced around.
I don't quite understand her personal history. She was in an orphanage and her folks who are apparently still living are her inspiration doesn't immediately compute. Perhaps abandoned and an adoptee ? Hmmmm.
She's comes off as sort of an old fashioned thinking girl and very idealistic ... but also a hard worker and a toughie who learned at the University of Hard Times
Her on-screen visibility has been rather low ... but she did well and managed wisely on this last negotiating task.
Let's not count her out yet.

Yes, from the BIG world. From the harsh corporate realities. Not that she hasn't endured and overcome personal family issues. That's a plus though as distinguished from other privileged particpants. I would have like to see her acquired a bit more big company experience. She is the youngest but has risen above family conflicts.

Agree to a certain extent. Old fashioned, don't know for sure. Might be one of those "out-of-the-box" thinkers. Grew up in a non-traditional family structure.

I like to see Jessie make it, but looking at her competition, she is going up stream with some of the best. The primp and proper, the mean and cruel and an array of other beauties which will test her school of hard knocks. The older and wiser will give her a good learning opportunity.

By old-fashioned-thinking I was looking at her definition of success. Perhaps I should have included old fashioned values.
Due to circumstances and probably being taught by her folks ... she has learned to be grateful for things rather than entitled to them ... Rare indeed unless she's full of it but I think she's sincere.

Jessie behaves rather conservatively. Seems very even-keel. Likely another candidate for multiple job offers.

Jessie's childhood experience has taught her to be happy with life, despite life's imperfections. One thing that came across in the TV shows, Jessie seems sincere and her candor came across when she said " Amorosa was important to the situation." I don't think Jessie at her age is skillful at bullsessions as Heidi.
Jessie didn't come out shining as much in yesterday's Planet Hollywood Restaurant episode. She used her intellectual skills and questioned the effectiveness of part of the marketing program with the discount coupons being hawked out on the street. Jessie said there's a slim chance the coupons would come back that very day for them to count as sales. Clever point. That's why the girls then adjusted quickly to personally take it to the streets which one girl (don't know which from watching her back exiting the restaurant) that they were going "pimping."
jesse is smart- because the coupons did suck she was aright when she said that there was a slim chance the coupons would come back that day, if anything they might come back the next day for the guys- and that would not be good- that probably happened just a lil- so maybe there was just a slight advantage for the guys- they lost even though they had it though. oh well- the girls had just a slight advantage for the leg waxing
Jessi was tight with Kristi the project manager on tonight show. Funny, how Heidi predicted that and forewarned Amo that the Kristi will nominate Amo and Heidi to the boardroom for Donald to decide which should be fired. Jessie chummies up to Kristi all the time, the two were like a team.
In the beginning, Jessie said to Kristi: I'm not on this team without you. They go to the NY park and bonded, eating lunch on a park bench. Jessie said: What's a pigeon? Kristi said: I trust Jessie. Jessie gives advice to Kristi how to act in the boardroom: Say as little as possible (in the boardroom) and Kristi says I agree... I think you're right. Then the time comes at the boardroom, Trump asked Jessie what she has to say about Kristi. Jessie didn't support Kristi: "Kristine made lots of mistakes." Jessie sold out Kristi with those few words.
Is Jessie that smart to have sabotaged own closest confidant? Or is Jessie not that smart and made a critical mistake in defending for self at the boardroom. Last week, Nick who was accused of "checking out" stood his grounds and spoke up at the boardroom, only to save own @ss from being fired. This week, Jessie's personal suggestion to Kristi was the very reason Trump for firing - Kristin: "You lost the fight.... you did not fight and you're fired."
Yes, talk about a back-stabber. Jessie sure sent one into Kristi, after acting like she supported her when in the park. I think Jessie purposely gave Kristi bad advice.
Jessie a team member wasn't that dynamic in sales, nor inventory selection for the next day. The team with Jessie couldn't bull its way through from the beginning with product selection to the end at the boadroom either. Jessie however, was tight with the project manager Kristi as a confidant after the sale and needed to develop a boardroom strategy to survive at the top. Instead of reading Trump's book, Kristi relied on Jessie's weak recommendation taking a back seat and rest her fate in Donald's hands, assuming the leadership responsibility failures . Jessie's attention were misfocused and her background and upbringing from the Midwest farms were not savvy enough going up against two city slickers from big cities .
quote:
Meanwhile, Kristi's team wasn't as focused.
Jessie thought they should sell seeds with bags of dirt. Troy brainstormed on that idea, but Kwame wasn't too receptive. Later, Kristi and her group walked through the flea market to get an idea of what was selling. None of them were very impressed with items for sale. Heidi was especially negative.
Eventually, the team split up to search the city for appropriate and potentially profitable items. At 7pm that evening, they still hadn't made a decision.
The day of challenge, Protégé got up early and claimed an indoor booth when they saw it was going to rain. They had decided on an Asian theme and were selling rice-paper umbrellas and other Asian inspired items.
As the day wore on, however, things inside slowed down for Protégé. Heidi was aggravated by Kristi's lack of strong decision making, and felt the team should move outside if the weather cleared up. She and Omarosa made a plea to Kristi to move the booth outside in the hopes of increasing interest and sales.
Uniquemuchacha, this week Jessie took the axe and she wasn't even the project manager. Jessie gave bad advice last week to Kristi to stay low facing The Donald at the boardroom and got Kristi eliminated. Well, Jessie learned this week to stand her ground but in the eyes of The Donald: "Jessie didn't stand for herself."
Tonight's episode 6 was a tough call. Three women nominated, one had to go. Jessie even pleaded with The Donald: "Please, don't fire me." It came down to the mild mannered versus the two strongest women of the women's competition, Omarosa and Heidi. Heidi just blew Jessi away and Heidi was still sticking with Omarosa because they have a pact as the Ugly Ducklings and the Underdogs. No matter how hard The Donald tried, the two still respected each other after the boardroom bout. It was clear Jessie was no match against either Heidi and Omarosa. The two crude and rude just ate Ms. Primp and Proper up into pieces.
Third straight week we saw the Ms. Congeniality take the elevator down to the street. At the end with the cab ride, Jessie reflected that she has no hard feelings. She'll do well in life.
