After the Show ~ This & That post #1  quote:

If there was ever any question in your mind about whether Jon was a jerk or not ... look at this Early Show excerpt ...:

Interview with Lillian, Jon and Darrah

HOST:_Lil if you had to do it over again would you have picked Sandra?

Lil:_ I would not have picked Jon at all._ I'm very pleased with my decision._ I've gone over it a number of times, my husband and I have talked about it._ It would have been Sandra.

HS:_ What went into your thinking?

Lil:_ Jon is a good strategist._ He was out there all the time scheming and playing._ But Jon's lifestyle is not something I approve of... sorry Jon...I kept thinking, if they're not going to pick an outcast, that was very apparent, that came into play._ Who do I want to give it to?_ Do I give it to someone who was always wanting to have an orgy on the island or to a mother, a wife, somebody who I can relate to in a way of lifestyle.

HS:_ (to Lil)You stuck to your values.

HS:_(to JFP) Jonny Fairplay, what did you think when you got the boot?

JFP:_ I thought I was the male, Survivor: Pearl Island champion

HS:_ That doesn't count for much._ We all grew to hate you in the way you played the game but as you kept on making it week after week after week, we got to begrudgingly believe that you were one of the great players, but not great enough to make the final 2._ What was your fatal mistake?

JFP:_ I don't know that I necessarily made a mistake._ I personally think that I'm the greatest player of all time

HS:_ Some of the things that you said about women, do you like women or do you hate women?

JFP: Oh I love women, preferably 3 or 4 at a time.
<awkward silence>

HS:_ Darrah were you surprised when you got the boot.

Darrah:_ No I wasn't._ Pretty much all the day I was gone on interviews leaving Jon and Sandra and Lil by themselves. I knew something was up when we got to TC and Jeff said, you can talk among yourselves and figure out who you want to vote off._ Nobody wanted to talk so I knew then I was going home.

HS:_ When you won 3 ICs in a row did you think, you know what maybe I've won a little too much here.

Darrah:_ I had to win ICs to stay in the game.

... and so forth ....

========

Note that this is very mild.

The things he has reportedly said in his chat(s) confirm he is not only a cocky, arrogant, disrespectful jerk he is also a repulsive, filthy pig.

Among other things he said Rupert contributed nothing to the tribe and other hateful things, he called Lil a (yucky) white whale, said Sandra won because he dragged her there, and made several references to women and his sexual prowess and his private parts, etc. Really, really disgusting.

Either he needs help, or he's trying for a talk show/shock jock gig. Maybe both.

Sorry I called him a pig ... that gives pigs a bad name..

Military Family post #2  quote:

Ok ... I was confused I guess because I thought Sandra had been in the Army. Maybe she was, but what I did NOT realize was that her husband IS in the Army. They live in base housing and her most recent job paid $9 per hour.

That means before this, they were raising 2 kids on his meager military pay and her small salary.

It's a dirty shame, but many Military Families need food stamps just to survive.

I am now HAPPY that Sandra won because that means a Military Family gets the $$$.

Hey, that makes me even happier about her win. She did need it.

And, about that interview that you put on first.... JON IS SCUM!!! He is worse now than I have EVER thought. He is a pig, and I wouldn't give him the time of day. Sure... 3 or 4 women... IN HIS DREAMS!! He isn't good looking... he has a scrawny bird body... his attitude sucks... and he's a womanizer!! He wasn't a winner... he is a LOSER!!! What a jerk-off.

*truer than true OBAF!

Me too OBAF! I'm married to an enlisted & I stay at home with our four kiddos (last one born while he was in Iraq this year), so I know that Sandra & her family needed the money! I'm thrilled that she won!

** Strauss, from that sentence I am presuming he is safely home ... and I'm so glad.

Please tell your husband I said Thank You and Welcome Home !

The sacrifices made by military families are WAY under-appreciated, and I am glad I had a chance to mention it. I DO appreciate it and so thanks to YOU too.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday together.

Thanks OBAF! Yes, my wonderful, brave soldier is home and I am so blessed to be able to watch him play with his baby and the older ones! God has been good to us! I never want him to go through that mess again!

I will check that site out, because I need all the support I can get. The days we are in are not the easiest to have a member of the family in the military. If anyone else reads this, remember to not only pray for the soldiers, but for their families as well. For every soldier there is a parent, a spouse, a child... a family, that waits patiently for their return.
