Bah, I couldn't get in with my old account name, "Mobs"...ah well. Anyway, ya, I have some ghost stories that have happened to me and I still have not been able to explain. As I write this, I'm getting some cold chills...but that's life.
Anyway, my first ghost experience was when I was about 8 years old. I was playing hide & go seek with my cousins in a small 2 bedroom apartment in Northridge, CA. Well, I remember my cousin was counting down from 20, really slow, because I asked her to count slow. I then ran into a closet in the living room. I can remember that the jackets were brushing up against me and the shoes and shoe holder was poking my butt...but that's besides the point.
After I felt confident that my cousin would not find me, I decided that it would look less conspicuous if I jammed the door and pinned myself in as much as I could with the standing electric fan. I closed the door as much as I could with my little arms and pulled the fan over the door so I would trap myself in and make it look like nobody would be in the closet.
I remember hearing my cousin counting to 1 and saying, "Ready or not, here I come!"...I then remember waiting in there for a few minutes feeling sure that she wouldn't find me so I decided to get comfortable and just sink into the clothes and shoe pile. This is where things get weird! It was pitch black, not a sound from anywhere for the longest time, when all of a sudden, I hear a whisper in my ear saying "Joooooel"....that's my name, Joel. Anyway, after my eyes and eyebrows opened up in complete shock and amazement, I turn my head to the direction of where the whisper came from (to my right), and I see two glowing red eyes looking straight at me!!!!
I screamed out of the top of my lungs and pushed as hard as I could on the closet door, but it wouldn't open...tried again with all of my might and finally, the fan that I had rigged to keep the closet door shut knocked over and I fly out of the closet like you wouldn't believe! I ran straight to my mom and asked her if she was calling my name, and she said "no."
Here's something even more strange. My neighbor across the way, that same day told me something strange was happening in his apartment as well. He told me that they always hear footsteps coming from nowhere...and that, that same day, his younger brother fell into a weird trance where he looked like he saw a ghost and would say something in spanish over and over and they couldn't get him to snap out of it. Scaaaaary!!!!
