I don't know where she came from, but I just started seeing her and her sister in magazines and on entertainment news shows all of a sudden. Then I found out that they are heiresses to the Hilton Hotel empire. Then I found out that Paris is actually a model (which I guess makes sense. She's pretty, and her face is unique enough to give modelling a go...)
Ok, now this series is going to come out featuring Paris and her friend, Nicole Richie (adopted daughter of Lionel Richie). They are going to do their rich-kid thing while in farm country... Sounds slightly interesting...
Where do the two young women go from there? Nicole goes back to living with daddy (she's not celebrity material, in my opinion, but maybe I shouldn't pass rush judgement before seeing the show...), and Paris gets embroiled in a legal battle to halt the publication of a home sex video she took with Shannon Doherty's ex-husband...
I suppose that solidifies Paris as a sex symbol???
Personally I don't get the whole craze over Paris Hilton. The only reason she's even in the headlines is because her father owns Hilton Hotels. So far the only talent she's exhibited is in the bedroom on videotape.

She is pretty enough (and slim enough...) to be model material, and I really think that her features are unique enough to give her a certain edge in that field... I don't know about television or even reality tv, however... I gotta ask, though, how OLD is she? Wasn't that tape made 3 years ago?? Does that make her underage when the tape was made?
I agree with Chel. I am just sick of Paris. She is famous because she is pretty, parties with the real celebrities, and her dad owns the hotels. I think Paris is around 22 years old.
Something new just out in the news today: Paris Hilton hired a Public Relations person; a gentleman who seems to be very good at his job. He quickly cancelled all of Paris Hilton's scheduled public appearances that were to publicize her new reality show, The Simple Life. That was a smart move for these reasons: It keeps her from putting her foot in her mouth (as opposed to other parts of the human body............. ) over the sex tape, and keeps the salivating talk show hosts from even being able to ask questions about it (which they ALL would do...).
It seems that without this new PR expert that she hired, Paris would've stepped through the fire of the talk show circuit, with upcoming appearances scheduled for Regis & Kelly, The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn (he would've had a field day...), and David Letterman (so would he...).
Wow, perverted teens! Shocker! Boys just go to google.com and type in Paris Hilton Video. No one here is going to post a link to a porn site, this is not that kind of forum so get over it and get real.
Did anyone watch that show last night? Talk about spoiled, pampered twits! I feel really bad for that family, but I'm sure they're getting paid quite a bit for living with two American Princess primadonnas!
Did you see when they went to the store with $50, the purchase rang up $65, they said "Well can we just HAVE it?" Later they said "I can't believe they wouldn't just give it to us!"
It would be great if they were written out of their daddy's wills and had to live in the real world. Working at Walmart..."What is that? Do they make stuff for walls there?"

when the farm family showed her the well, she asked what's a
well for?
also when she asked the clerk if she could just keep the extra
groceries (shows she is a spoiled brat who always got what she wanted) the clerk said no what do you think this is a soup kitchen. Later in the truck she asks Nicole what's a soup kitchen?
Don't these multi-millionaire Hiltons ever give to charity??
I just hope her parents are appalled and that they take away her credit cards and send her off to an all girls school (one willing to teach a 22 year old an elementary school education)
