Oh, you're so right. There really IS no place like home.
Home is where all our "comforts" can be found...
Well, I think that when I've gone on vacation the places that I enjoyed the most were:
Colorado, because it's just so beautiful there.
Las Vegas, because I love all the different hotels that they've built, and how they look like cities, etc... Just amazing. But, I don't really care for gambling, and I HATE cig smoke... so, I don't care to go there often.
The east coast... going to Washington DC, Philadelphia, etc... I loved the history there. Nice to see where we started it all.

There's a place on Oahu, Hawaii... where we went snorkeling...
Hanauma Bay. We were snorkeling there..... so extemely beautiful.
There's a path that you follow, on the rocks, around the bay, to a secluded spot... it's called, "The Toilet Bowl." It's fun. The water comes rushing up the channel, and you jump in this crater opening, and it throws you up, and then as the water rushes back out to sea, you drop to the bottom. It's a lot of fun... but, you can get hurt.
Anyway... that was the ultimate when I went to Hawaii. Favorite spot.

Toilet Bowl at Hanauma Bay. Toilet Bowl is a pool connected to the ocean by an old lava tube. The water level of the pool rises and falls with the surf.

I think so far my fave is Cancun. We went last year for 4 days all inclusive and stayed in an upscale hotel. Wow! We are planning to go back many times.
And of course I have pictures. About 240 of them in a slideshow.
my brother in law lives there.....I went about 3 1/2 years ago.....ten days.....it was heaven!
We are taking our son at the end of next year (hopefully) if not then the following year.....as long as I have my motion pills and xanax.....I have a major fear of flying! Had to fly from San Juan to St. Thomas...it was a flight from hell! Only a 20 minute ride, but on a ten seater plane in clouds.....I thought I was gonna die! But the vacation was great once I settled down two days later!
If you get a chance...experience it! Its fabulous..especially St John!
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)
