1. She has no job - thats exactly why she's being moved to the matrix.
2. She's being "exported" from the machine world so that she wont be deleted.

i think she was the Matrix rebooter. if u noticed at the end she was laying on the ground and the black cat (DEJA-VU FROM THE MATRIX) comes up. When Seraph and Sati were hiding in that room, Smith came in and says "So you must be the last exile?" to Sati. So I really think she's some kind of reboot program.
That's my theory....
Sati had to have a prupose to not be deleted.
1) Her role inside the Matrix is to make the Sun rise. Notice in the beginning of the movie when Neo wakes up in the train station she says "Good Morning" and when she points for the Oracle to look at the Sun Rising the Oracle says "Did you make that?" and she says "Yes, for Neo."
2) She was being exported because she had no purpose, and apparantly her father had to make a deal with the Merovengian to keep her from being deleted. We do not know what though, no big deal. She was being exported to be given purpose. Easy enough...

Let me help you guys out Sati has no purpose yes! But think about it we learned the she is a sub program. Programs in the machine world all have a purpose a karma and they created a sub program with no purpose, she is the first program created by machines without a purpose planned. I belive if revolutions continued she would gain the "eyes of the orical" and when Smith says shes the last exil, an exil in a program that is not connected to the source. Hope that helps
Her purpose, and the very reason why the Oracle believes she is so important is because she symbolises a new beginning for the human/machine relationship - she is a product of two machines, Rama Kandra and Camala(???) who both speak of their love for their daughter in Mobil Ave. This is new information for Neo, who doesn't understand how machines can experience love. I believe this is important because it shows how the machines have evolved and this may be integral to the peace deal which Neo struck with Deus Ex Machina.

aside from that, their purpose could be to simply get Sati into the matrix. because in the machines eyes, Sati has no purpose. and machines that have no purpose are deleted.

now, how that could relate to our cute little purposeless Sati, i have no idea, but the Wachowski's would have to have considered it.

Rama Kandra is the power plant system manager of recycling operations and his wife is an interactive programmer together they made Sati - a clue buried in here? Well what does he mean by recycling? perhaps recycling humans as they are when ejected from pods! we know humans are used for power so he recycled a human. Kamala was an interactive programmer so perhaps she programmed the mind of that recycled human and the finished product was Sati - not quite without purpose. The purpose of making Sati (Sati's purpose was to be born) was to see if they could recycle a human and keep them alive rather than just liquefying them perhaps if they need to keep a certain human alive for some reason or if they don't need to liquefy so many humans. Then after Sati has been born her purpose has been fulfilled and so they refer to her as an exile. But the parents didn't want her to die (they are based on AI after all and remember how other AI entities such as bi66er didn't want to die).
