EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Oct. 28 — The tension engulfing Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers is growing, and the season hasn’t even begun. As the Lakers’ “Dream Team” of Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Karl Malone and Gary Payton prepared for Tuesday night’s opener against Dallas, Bryant indicated he might not play, and again lashed out at O’Neal, calling the center childish and accusing him of coming to training camp “fat and out of shape” in previous years.
I LOVE KOBE AND SUPPORT HIM, BUT I DON'T THINK THIS IS THE TIME TO LASH OUT AT SHAQ AND SAY THOSE MEAN THINGS: SHAQ HAS BEEN COMING TO PRACTICE FAT AND OUT OF SHAPE, AT LEAST SHAQ DIDN'T COME TO PRACTICE LABELED AN ACCUSED RAPIST. COME ON KOBE WE SUPPORT YOU, BUT THAT WAS A LOW BLOW TO SHAQ.
Next Karl Malone will start making comments about both in the third person..."Karl Malone thinks Shaq & Kobe should play nice together so Karl Malone can finally get the Championship ring he deserves."
They really are not fighting.. This is a media game they play to get the attention off the trial. Close personal friend of my fiance is good friends with Shaq.. He says Shaq, Kobe, him and their wives were all over at Shaqs house the other day kickin it. They figure it will be fun to stir up some controversy. Its a big joke to them and the team.
Oh really, I hope that's the case, because I doubt if anything they try and muster will take the attention off the trial. I mean Kobe's facing life in prison, let's get real. We support you Kobe, but this is hardly the time for jokes.

I didn't know they fined Kobe, was it for the statement about Shaq? If so, I guess some people on here don't know what they are talking about, saying it was a joke.
"Coach Phil Jackson fined Bryant an undisclosed amount for criticizing O'Neal, and the team met for 20 minutes Tuesday to discuss the feud that has developed between the two players."
Thanks for that information, so I guess the person who posted the statement about it all being for fun and to draw attention away from the trial, was just hoping that was the case and had no real knowledge of anything. Thanks again.
I read the article in the paper today about Kobe being fined, and one of the other players (they didn't say who) stated that he had to cool Shaq down because he wanted to physically confront Kobe.

Actually I wasn't lying. Notice how its an undisclosed amount? Look, these guys are friends. Believe it or not, its media hype. I actually get a lot of hollywood dirt and it all proves to be very true in the end.
But, discredit me because I will not disclose my source. Thats fine.
