Well It was overall very good last night. Notice that 99% of all the vehicles were fords?
Again..they brought back Kim ...now shes at CTU..DUH! And....She is Sleeping with Her dads Trainee! Duh! Jack appears to be "Sick" and she wants him to Know that she is 'Doing" his trainee? Duh! This woman will be the one who Kills jack! The two Tony and whats her name at CTU got married..Go figure. President palmer Is bumping ugly with his DR. It appears palmers PR man is not liking it either perhaps due to the fact she is 'white".
Then there was the two part Ford story...That just made me want to run out and Buy a ford...NOT!

My take on the Season 3 opener....

The good:

Jack being a drug attic is brilliant! I can't wait to see how this plays out.

D.B. Woodside as Palmer's brother is cool, I really like that actor.

The episode had twists right out of the box. Kicked right into high gear, and it didn't miss a beat from last year.

Nice and subtle job of adding the backstory.

The Bad:

That Ford propoganda was lame. I know it was beacuse of them that the episode didn't have any commercials, but come on. I laughed through the whole thing.

Kim Bauer the next CTU computer genius? Come on. I know the writers needed her to do something (and run in a tight shirt) but this is a stretch. Good to know that as long as your dad is running a Federal Counter-Terrorist Unit you can get a job. I guess she amassed these computer skills in the 3 years since the last episode. Whatever. Lame, lame, lame.

Kate Warner cameo? Seemed a little forced.

Anyway, that's all I can think of right now. I really liked the episode and can't wait for next week.

Season Finale post #6  quote:

Who saw the final episode of season 3? All I can say is... wow.

SPOILER WARNING!

I have never seen a season finale where every major character is destroyed, either mentally or physically.

The show ends with Jack Bauer in tears, shaking, barely holding it together. He just had to chop of Chase's hand with an ax, and in the past 23 hours he had to: kill his boss Ryan Chapelle in cold blood, put his comrade Tony in custody, shot dead the woman who murdered his wife (who he was force to kiss a few hours before), sent a woman he loved into harm's way (who subsequently died), sent his daughter on a dangerous mission (who was almost shot), was a second away from sending an innocent woman into an infected hotel to get a terrorist to talk, became addicted to heroin, played Russian Roulet, and was about to shoot Chase in the head but it was a test (no bullets in the gun) and a whole lot more.

The President was being blackmailed, and as a result of a complicated situation, his ex-wife was murdered. His brother and Chief Advisor saw it all go down and the shooter was the woman he loved, who took her own life. So the Pres has decided to not run for re-election.

Tony committed treason to save his wife Michelle. He's going to prison for at least 20 years. He was also shot in the neck.

Michelle spent about 5 hours in an infected hotel, watching her friends and other innocent people die, wondering if she was infected. She wasn't, but she was soon kidnapped. Her husband, Tony, was blackmailed into helping a terrorist in exchange for his wife's life. She got out, but her husband is going to be behind bars for a long time. And she had to shoot dead a potentially infected person who was trying to flee the hotel.

Chase, as you read above, had his arm chopped off by an ax. He was also tortured in Mexico and almost shot in the head by his friend.

What the hell? Not a redeeming moment for anyone. And yet this was the best season yet.

My only complaint is Chloe. This was a horrible character played by an equally horrible actress. I sincerely hope she isn’t at CTU next year.

Can't wait for next season... too bad I have to wait six months. Oh well.

They did a great job, I only hope they can top themselves! It will be tough!
