I just got a GREAT idea. Let's get a story going and see how long we can keep it going. Have fun with it, but keep it mature, and don't cut the story off otherwise it will wreck it. To avoid more than one replye to the same story post, just keep it short-medium length. This forum doesn't get a whole lot of love anyway so we shouldn't have to worry about too much traffic in this thread... Anyway, here goes, enjoy!
A sillouette of a man creeps out of a dimly lit hallway, walking closer to a suspicious noise he's investigating which he -thinks- is comming from the kitchen... He hears nothing but the sound of his own breath as he feels the cold linolium (spelling?) under his feet. He stands there for a few seconds... listening, tentatively.
As two riled up dogs chase a paranoid cat around the kitchen, pots and pans, dishes and silverware -- everything that makes noise -- falls to the ground. The man who once stood in a catious silluoette is now half-way through the nearest wall and hyperventalating as his heart is jammed in his throat.
"Never... EVER... again. Will I ever be that scared..." He whispers to himself nervousely as he dusts himself off and attempts to gather his dignaty.
He valiantly turns the light on to see the Kitchen in shambles. The Cat is poofy-tailed and wide-eyed, backed into a corner on top of the counter, and the dogs are both waiting next to the fridge with happy eyes and wagging tails.
"Are you hu-ngry boys?" The man says with singed nerves.
"Heck yeah, make me a sandwhich man" The closest dog replies.
"Alright" the man says, as he opens the fridge. (Wait a second...) -- he ponders gently.
The man then inconspicuousely grabs the ketchup and sprays the dogs in the face with it, then bolts out of his house towards his rusty 1991 Cavelier RS 4-door, 4-banger Sedan witting alone in the driveway.
*Click-Squeek-Slam*
He breeths heavily and watches the steam form on his windshield in the light of the moon. Funny... the moon isn't even full. What the heck is going on?
Only in his PJ's, the man (Let's give him a name, we'll call him Roger) never anticipated needing the keys to his car before he crept out of bed. In retrospect, he's dissapointed in himself for not doing these important things: As soon as he heard the noise he SHOULD have grabbed his keys, his base-ball bat and flicked on the hall light before he decided to creep out there. Maybe if he had taken a more courageous stance by boldly charging down the hallway, bat-in-hand -maybe then he wouldn't be out here in this COLD freekin' car!
No. That doesn't explain the fact that his dog just spoke to him. "Did my dog actually just speak to me... or in my groggy stuper, did I just imagine it?" He wonders optomistically.
Well, it's fairly obvious what needs to happen now. If he stays out here he'll freeze to death. He could walk to his neighbor's house (At 2:35 A.M. in his PJ's) or he could go back into the house.
What will Roger do now?

he starts to go to the neighbor's house but something tells him to look up and when he does ....... he undergoes a startling transformation . teeth grow, fingers shorten , a tail sprouts out , his whole muscular structure changes ,senses becomes heightened , with a evil howl he........
grabs for the door handle but his shortened fingers can't grasp it, so with another, louder howl he rams his shoulder against the door and just as he feels the door give, he wonders what was that evil noise and notices lights coming on in the homes in the neighborhod. Startled, he realizes it will be very hard to explain the tail and all and the back splatter from the ketchup looks like blood. He quickly ........

turns around to run away fearful of what his friends and family might say , but as he turns he sees an evil shape ,so evil it sends shivers down his misshapen back .he tries to run but some unholy power forces him to stay . he gathers the courage to look up to see who or what is holding him there, but to his surprise what he sees is ...........
his own reflection in the rear window of the car ... and he looks the same, the same as he always has -- normal. The brown hair is a little sleep touseled, and the blue eyes look a little tired even the straight white teeth he suffered braces to gain as a teenager are all the same.
Whew ! Must have been dream ... talking dogs and tails.
He quickly looks down at his his hand and the fingers which are still shortened, what ? and turns around and sees his tail ... and realizes that when he pushed he tore the front door of the car off and the door fell on his tail ... and that's what's holding him. (Wait a minute)
He again looks up at the reflection. There it is same face, his own normal face, and when he reaches to touch it his hand in the reflection looks normal too. He looks down and around again and sure enough there's his short fingers, there's his tail with the car door still on it ... his TAIL ?
He looks at his reflection one more time and decides ...............

that it wasn't a figment of his imagination and he must be transforming into... something other than human. This is a living nightmare to him. so he goes on a search to find a cure .and what he finds horrify him . the things he have to do ... the unspeakable act he'll have to preform just to win his humanity back sickens him to no end . but the thought of living like this..... a half breed .... a monster... is something far worse . he'll literally sell his soul so he can regain his humanity ,he'll learn to live with himself later. so as he prepares to start the first task , which is to.......
