UN: Italian Sex Slave Trade for Nigerian Girls Growing post #1  quote:

Last year 1,782 little Nigerian girls "arrived" in Lampedusa compared to 166 in 2007. Lampedusa is an Italian island off the coast of Italy used as a holding centre for girls brought in.

According to report from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime(UNODC) , 80% of females brought in are sexually exploited.

girls forced into prostituion say for each Nigerian girl that becomes a victim of trade, an Italian women is safe from rape

The last sentence is totally flase Malcolm. Those who use protitutes use them in a sexual way but people who rape women it's more of a power/ control issue. Theres no evidence anywhere in the world that categorically proves that prostitution reduces rape in fact in places like Amsterdam rape is still an issue yet you have legalisation of prostitution making more "acceptable" and obtainable.

The whole kidnap of girls is an issue but it's not purely a Nigerian thing this happens to women from countries such as Russia, China lot of different countires it's a huge issue and needs to be addressed and better co ordination between Interpol and domestic agencies.

a UN report says a sex trade for Nigerian girls is growing. this is how people get there information, unless u are implying the UN is not a credible resource?

and stay on point. the UN study is not on the consequences of prostituition, the research done was to prove if an Italian sex slave trade is true.

The UN study is on Italys's growing sex slave trade of Nigerian girls . Nigerian female sexual exploitation is what is being made aware of. Because u have bias against post dealing with African misery doesn't make post less credible. A UN study has been put out wit research proving an ITALIAN SEX TRADE for NIGERIAN FEMALES EXISTS and GROWING today.

its understood posts exposing AFRICA's exploitation is not Lodgbo's favorite subject.

Have u walk down the red light distcts on the Talian island Lampesuda?

The link is on UN study that exposes Italy's sex Slave trade with African females and (again) Lodgbo prejudice trys to discredit post by attacking the messenger.

We want to know your opinion of UN study.

All I am saying is that this is the latest in a line of reports about the sex slave trade yet this is the one you pcik up on and I want to know why these girls are more important than the countless others that are all over europe or the children that have to work the streets in the far east.

You want to now what I think of the report I think it's just paper with words you need action to deal with this not a suit in an office stating the bleeding obvious

If this UN study wasn't done. No one would know of Italy's exploitation pf African girls or other acts that are similar.

UN does research to provide facts and make aware of acts similar to this. Once aware its up to you and me to do something about it.

Trying to DISCREDIT UN research claiming its just "words on paper" is your PREJUDICE opinion .

Are you honestly telling me that without this report you wouldnt have known of the explotation of women in Italys red light districts do you live under a rock or something?

And dont you think that the police and other services that work in these areas might have noticed these girls arriving.

The fact stand the rport does not save these women or help them they are just words and as far as the Italians are concerned words that they already knew

When it comes to international news, it is fair to say we live under a rock. This UN report is tip of the iceberg. Some of of us cannot name a country in Africa.

U understand the value of research.A UN study was done that concluded Scotland is the most violent country in the world.

Maybe this why u try and discredit UN research .

Well that says more about the level of education than news if you ask me. This sint really about Africa thought it's about prostitution and peopel trafficking as a whole.

U understand the value of research.A UN study was done that concluded Scotland is the most violent country in the world.

Yeah but we went throught that and I proved what the Scottish government and anyone that bothered to look proved that it was BS like it didnt include Iraq, or population, or Africa, or didn takke inot accont some major cities of countries. That report was like any other tweak things and it can say what you want to say

Maybe this why u try and discredit UN research .

I will discredit want is wrong, what you are to thick tro see is that I am not discrediting the report at all I actually belive what it says it's really beliveable but what I am saying is that the report does waht to help the situation?
