What is the one food you wouldn't eat, even if you were deserted on an island surrounded by steaming, fresh barrels of it???


For me, any type of fish!

Mushrooms... I would starve myself to death before eating those nasty little pieces of fungus.

I would love to HATE any type of NON-VEG food!!! I am a strict Veg-by choice since I was 5 years old.

Anything from Taco Bell!

Ocra, Artichokes, Oysters; Pretty much everything else is aight

Steak Tartare, raw oysters or clams, eggs over "easy", Sushi/sashimi.

I'll have mine cooked and well cooked, please.

it would have to be sushi. Its just so gross

On a deserted island?

I would have to say any type of bug, pig's nose, eggplant, or anything I've seen people eat on Fear Factor.

Oh brussel sprouts are NASTY! So are collard greens...
There's a lot of foods that I just plain don't like and I won't eat.
Salmon is nasty. Sushi is beyond nasty.

Allright KJ that did it! You are not flying out to my party if you hate collard greens. This is the south girl!

I like them boiled, drained, then put vinegar, salt, and pepper on them.

To keep on topic, I hate beer. I can't stand the taste or smell of it. If someone stinks like beer, I get sick to my stomach. If they smell like old beer... forget it! Get me a bucket. It's going to be hard to find a boyfriend huh?

I forgot to mention before that I don't like shrimp...it tastes too rubbery.

That's like me with mushrooms. I think that they are rubbery and slimy. BLECK!!! I would rather eat toe jam!! And that would never happen.

I'm not partial to eggs, any eggs...from fish or chicken. I have a thing about avoiding foods that are discharged from an animal's nether regions.

Hmm, so many people bag Sushi, but 7 million (or however many there are) Japanese can't be wrong, I love it and would eat it all day every day if I could.

I hate brussel sprouts too, and internal organs like liver and kidneys and stuff like that I can't stomach.

Also McDonalds over here has started to do whole/ half/ quarter chickens, I don't know why, but I just couldn't bring myself to eat a chicken from McDonalds, I dont eat a lot of McDonalds but there is just something wrong with the whole image in my head of McDonalds chickens.

Wow, they process those nuggets to look like whole chickens now? LOL

I hate seafood and tomatoes. I do like sauces with tomatoes in them, just not chunks of them.

Though, she does love shrimp and calamari. And, I've started her on the path of eating lobster.
She hates fish though... can't stand it.

Oh man, and Sherry, living in San Diego, I think that you and I see, and smell, enough menudo to last a life time. That stuff is NASTY!

Kooka, my dad would make Menudo every year. It is the most foul smelling thing imaginable. We would leave the house when he would make it, or if we were stuck indoors due to rain, we would put things over the heating vents to help keep the stench out.

If tripe grosses you out, try going to wierd Asian places. My Bro-in-law just came back from a round the world trip and some of the stories about stuff he ate ..... GROSS.

cockroaches and spiders other such bugs and worms and things, dogs and cats and camels and guinea-pigs/ hamsters/ gerbils (whatever you call them), horse, lots of wierd meat.

At least when you buy beef, you know it is beef. Thank god.

Tuna, the only fish I don't like.
Canned peas, I can eat frozen peas but not canned peas
Saurkraut-smells like feet

I will never eat strawberry jelly. Grape jelly is the One True Jelly.

Liver sucks and I avoid cranberries with passion. But if we were on an island as you suggest, I would love them ) . You would eat that barrel of fish faster than you might think,also.

Cold cheese...like a slice of cheese or a cube.
It's fine melted ON something or mixed IN something...but not by itself, for no amount of money. Can't do it.

Honorable mentions: sweet potatoes, cold slaw, grapefruit, and anything "orange-flavored".
(Oranges themselves, are fine.)

I hate lemons and raspberries. Bleck! I can't stand anything flavored like them.

For me... Beets, Pickled Eggs, and Cottage Cheese.

2 of the most common toppings on Pizza, Mushrooms & Pineapple. oh yeah, Pig anus is up there too.

This thread is so funny to read! My fear food is turtle eggs -- I don't dare eat anything of animal origin RAW yet these turtle eggs NEVER look cooked even if you boil them forever.

I try more or less everything I can, unless it is something weird like fried pig skins. Or animals' private parts, or liver, or intestines for that matter. I don't think I will eat a human either.

I liked sushi when I tried it. Any fish is fine with me as long as it doesn't smell. Most of the seafood (atleast the one I have tried -- shrimp, crab -- I have tried crab sticks) is fine too. I am yet to try lobster. I haven't tried calamari also but I have been told that it is one of the most chewy meats ever. You can chew it till eternity and still not be able to chew it enough. I want to try it though.

Almost all of the vegetables are fine too.
