One Of Them Is Not Gay?

I heard a rumor on the radio this morning that there is speculation about one of them not being gay! They were trying to figure out which one isn't gay. I say either Ted, Thom, or Jai. I wish it was Kyan though. I know it's definitely not Carson, lol.

I personally think if one of them isn't gay who cares? The show is still funny as hell, and who knows he just may be bi.

It's not Ted. I read in his bio where he's in a committed gay relationship. He is the only one, however, that has admitted to such.

I'm thinking that it's either Kyan or Thom-if it's true at all. Of course I'm saying Kyan for completely selfish reasons

A few threads down, I posted "I am the one who can make Kyan straight" He is so hot, but me thinks the Fab 5 are all gay. I mean why would the producers put a straight guy in there? It's not very hard to find 5 gay guys who are talented.

They were on Oprah the other day, and I live about 30 minutes from her studio. I wished i would have known they were in town; I would have gone to every club in Chicago just to meet them!

Wouldn't it be a trip if it was Carson who was not gay. I think he tries too hard. I like the show very much so and he is cool, but he is too touchy feely. I don't know the names that well, but I can see the grooming person or the food and wine person as not being gay. But like you said. Who cares? It is funny and I love it.

On Milwaukee radio this morning, Mike Evans said the rumor was one of the guys was not gay. He went on to say it was:
"Thom, the guy with the glasses."
Okay, Ted wears the glasses, and I've read he's in a 10-year relationship, and I've met Thom and I'd be kind of surprised if he were the straight one. If he is, he's an amazing actor. Maybe one of them has prior hetero experience, but I think this is all just a big rumor.
On Oprah, Carson said he was the straight one!
Whatever, it's a great show and I love it to death. The Fab 5 are an amazing mix of amazing men!

I think "Bi-Eye for the Straight Guy" would be just fine.

I heard on the radio that it is Ted Allen...I watched it tonight and that is the chef with the glasses. Per radio, his bio is faked. But who knows.

I would like to see a show called "Straight Eye for the Queer Guy"...five masculine he-men take a wimpy, athletically-challenged gay guy and make a he-man out of him...or die trying.

One of them said it's already happened to them, it's called highschool! I think people are constantly trying to get gay guys to conform to a more masculine paradigm, but the show seems to be about celebrating what's positive in all of us. I know this sounds a little Pollyanna, but I believe queer guys live "Straight Eye for..." on a daily basis. What I'd like to see is "Queer Eye for the Celebrity Guy."

OR....Female super models making the Fab 5 over to look georgeous enough to "walk the runway"

OR...Fab 5 getting a hold of Simon Cowell from American Idol and telling him he is a fashion disater. Simon is nearly perfect, but has an ego the size of Texas. The Fab 5 could make Cowell "eat crow"

I thought it was either Ted or Kyan, but now that I've just read that Ted is in a 10 year relationship I will rule that out. And I don't think his bio is faked because I was just watching the episode where they made over Josh Diaz and he is wearing a ring on his left ring finger. And I know it's not Kyan because I read in US Weekly that he met one of the actors from Queer As Folk and is completely smitten and there was an accompanying photograph. So my third choice as weird as it is would be Jai. The reason I say that he may not be gay is because before doing the show he did theater and I know a lot of straight guys that do theater and resemble him. But maybe all of them are gay! The show is called Queer Eye For The Straight Guy! And why would producers hire someone who is straight when it would be most likely that it would be leaked to the press? But I heard that one of them wasn't gay from the show "Good Day Live" and they actually said that one of them wasn't straight, that he was bisexual so maybe it IS Kyan....Hmmm....that is just my two cents!

I think this comes from the guys' appearance on Jay Leno. Leno made some lame remark before seeing his new set that if he didn't like it, Thom wouldn't be gay anymore, and Thom said something like "Well I'm bisexual." I hadn't gotten in to the show yet so I don't remember how he said it but it was my impression that he was joking. Never can tell though.

As for why they would hire a straight guy...by law you cannot ask a potential employee what their sexual orientation is. Ted actually said on Oprah that Bravo was initially worried while casting that straight actors would just say they were gay and get on the show.

Heya folks--I would have to doubt that ANY are straight. Ever seen that phone number (for tips) flash at the end of a showing of Q.E.? I called it once, and if you know gay (as I think I do, being gay myself), there is a quality to a gay man's voice that is difficult to fake--and these guys seem to sincerely have that quality in spades (especially Carson and Thom).

There are NO straight men in FAB 5. They are ALL gay!! Thank God for that

Absolutely, they're all Gay, TV executives could find all number of Gay men to do the show, they don't need to hire fake Gay men. Gay guys don't all have to act like Carson, they come in all shapes and sizes-just like straight guys.

I agree, they're definately all gay. But if there were rumors going round, it might have been spawned by Thom's bi-sexual comment, or someone elses throwaway remark. God knows the media would love to cause a scandal by using "not gay" as a replacement for "bi-sexual".
