| Blaine's nappy stunt fails to impress singer
David Blaine has marked his first week suspended in a glass cage with a dirty nappy.

The illusionist hid under a blanket in his home under Tower Bridge before emerging with a bag and dropping it to people below.
But it failed to impress singer Gloria Estefan, who described it as revolting. The star and her nine-year-old daughter Emily were among the crowds watching Blaine.
As Blaine headed into the second week of his 44-day challenge the strain of the task facing him was, according to observers, beginning to show.
"For the first few days, David kept his spirits up and seemed to be doing well," one said. "But now he has become lethargic and his movements are much slower. He is obviously finding it tough going now."
Consultant psychologist Dr John Potter, who has been monitoring Blaine, said: "The settling down period, otherwise known as the honeymoon period, lasts for around seven days.
"Now things are getting harder. The most interesting stage will begin after 12-14 days when David can expect to suffer hallucinations."
Blaine has been drinking four litres of water a day and producing three litres of urine, which is passed through a tube to the ground where it will be analysed for signs of kidney or liver damage.
The New Yorker has been sleeping for a total of about eight hours a day, although passers-by have been doing their best to keep him awake. | |
