Kazaa and Windows 98SE problem

I have installed and can use kazaa for windows 98SE. Sharing and other options are all enabled, but when after quitting the program and closing the systray icon I cannot shut the computer down without it crashing and giving me a frozen blue screen.

I am using BT Broadband and disconnect before attempting to shutdown too.

Can anyone help?!

could you provide the info from the error screen?
do you have the latest updates from microsoft?
if you don't close the systray icon do you still get the error?
