Bush: 'I think it ought to be a lesson for every president to know and remember that we are no longer protected by oceans, that we're vulnerable to attack and that there are people who hate what we stand for, and therefore this nation must be aggressive in its pursuit of -- to eradicate terror, and that terrorists are hateful people. They, in this case, hijacked a great religion in order to kill innocent men and women and children, all aimed to create chaos and fright, all hoping that the great United States of America would cower in the face of their terror. And the lesson of September the 11th is that an enemy does exist, and this great country will never cower in the face of terrorists and that we have an obligation in this administration to do everything in our power to make sure that doesn't happen again.'
Amen!
Do you know why President Bush will be re-elected? I will tell you: T e r r o r i s t s! Yes, thanks to terrorists—and those who hate America and loudly spew their rhetoric and propaganda—these individuals have failed to realize one critical thing: their hatred, their threats, their attacks on American life and American freedom and American government have the opposite effect than that for which they aim. Like quicksand the more vigorous their efforts the more prompt their failure.
Indeed, they do not weaken and confuse the resolve of Americans but rather bring it into clearer focus and solidify it!
This new brand of the war on terror—this anti-Jihad that this administration has birthed and nourished—has unified a nation of Americans, as diverse as any culture, against one common enemy. Yes, 9/11 HAS changed America. It has awakened a deep passion and a sense of determination that Americans had long laid down and forgotten—not since December 7, 1941 has the enemy come to America's doorstep. America has again been bloodied at home. We are no longer protected by oceans. Americans now again realize that it's okay to let their hate for the enemy show. In fact hate is a necessary ingredient to stay vigilant and stay the course against an enemy who hates American life more than they love their own. Time to stop pretending—hate for those who hate—it makes for a healthy outlook on the war on terrorism. After all, if you can't hate an enemy who targets innocent people you have serious problem—in my opinion (as is ALL of this the humble opinion of yours truly.)
This is why President Bush will beat the Dems. No other issue will matter—not really.
REMEMBER. JUST A THANK YOU WILL DO. | |
