Mike Tyson Offers Advice For Kobe Bryant

POSTED: 2:55 p.m. EDT August 26, 2003

BURBANK, Calif. -- Mike Tyson is offering up some advice for Kobe Bryant.

Tyson told "Access Hollywood" that Bryant needs to get things straightened out with his family. He said if Bryant ends up doing time, he's got to keep in mind "who's gonna come see him, who's gonna be in touch, who's gonna be in contact if anything happens."

Tyson, who was convicted of rape in 1992, said he of all people can empathize with Bryant. He said he knows what it's like to be "a big star in America's eyes and then get in another arena and he's nobody."

If Kobe is endorsed by Tyson, he might as well plead guilty now.

This is off topic here but I can't help myself but post this:

Is this a new trend now... all the usual suspects come up in support of new high profile suspects??

OJ Simpson on Scott Peterson Aug 22:

Peterson's playing golf on the day his wife's remains were identified -- after which he was arrested -- was a normal activity, said Simpson.

"Scott Peterson was out playing golf, and people were saying, 'What kind of guy is this. These may be his wife's remains and he's going to play golf,"' he said.

"Well, when I got home from Chicago the week Nicole was murdered, I wanted to get on a golf course. I wanted to get away from ... all the hurt, all the pain."

Looks like a trend to me. I wonder if they are paid by the defense for their endorsements on high profile suspects?
