| Petty, Heartbreakers will get Legend Award at Radio Music show
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be honored with the Legend Award at tonight's Radio Music Awards, to be aired live from the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas (9 to 11 p.m. on KGW 8). PETTY
The band, which was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, will be presented with the award by Stevie Nicks, who recorded the hit duet "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" with Petty in 1981. Petty and the Heartbreakers also are scheduled to perform on the telecast.
Avril Lavigne has a leading five nominations for the Radio Music Awards, and rapper 50 Cent drew four. Among those scheduled to perform are Lavigne, Michelle Branch, Kelly Clarkson, Jewel, Tim McGraw and Nelly.
