Did Kobe waive his right to a speedy trial??

I seem to remember he did, and I wonder what do you think about it?? I have not seen anything posted about it...or is there??

I think he may be hoping the accuser will drop out, chances of that happening increase each day, don't you think?? ... I'm amazed she is still going for the trial after all that's been reported about her.
