I live in Alabama but I never supported Ruben!
I would never have voted if Clay hadn't been in the contest!
Before Clay I liked Vince Gill and Josh Groban but now just Clay!
There are not words enough for me to express what his music and the person he is has meant to me!
I was in a very bad accident 10 yrs ago and I don't get out much! I so enjoy downloading his videos and audios and reading wonderful letters and reviews about him! Which I MIGHT ADD HE SO DESERVES!!
Mostly I hear great stuff about him but when you are in the public eye there's always going to be rumors which I choose to ignore because it doesn't make any difference- that is his business!!

well, for starters, i think the girl who lives in New Zealand who started this thread cares about New Zealand.

I live in Al. but I am definitely a Clay fan but there is no need in worrying anymore about any kind of contest between these two!
The record sales etc. speak for themselves.
I'm real excited and looking forward to seeing Clay on 'Miss America' and the 'Jerry Lewis' telethon plus numerous other things. He will graduate from UNCC in Dec. He is truly an amazing individual!! How he is going back to school and still keep up will all his commitments has me flabbagasted.....I don't know is this is spelled right!!

Well, I know how it feels to have their country insulted. When you live in Canada, you're the butt of every American's jokes. Whatever. I guess that's the small price you have to pay to live in a country that is huge land-wise but small population-wise. Haha!!!! More room for me!!!!!

well i don't wanna make any enemies here....so i'll just agree with everyone here and say that i like my country as well.

If you love clay and want to celebrate his whatever, then do it. Why do you have to put down Ruben to celebrate Clay's success? I absolutely love Clay, but I also absolutely love Ruben and I voted for the both of them. But I would never put down one for the other. Why don't we just wish whomever we love the best and leave the other alone in piece.

The only thing that I want to know is where are all the Ruben fans at??? I will forever be a Clay fan, but it kinda bothers me that as soon as the AI experience was over, all of Ruben's fan base ditched him. Why? If you didn't want to support his career as King AI, then why did you vote for him to be the winner? So a skinny mama's boy wouldn't win? (don't hate me for that comment about Clay, I think it's sexy he's a skinny mama's boy cuz he's not ashamed of it) But if that's why you voted for Ruben in the end, then he deserved to lose more than ever. The poor guy has huge expectations to live up to, but now he's got poor record sales and his talent will go to waste cuz the worst case scenerio would be played out (the one where his label drops him due to very few sales). I just want to know if any die-hard Ruben fans are still breathing out there.

yea. everyone wants this whole Clay-Ruben competition thing to be over, but i just want an honest answer of why ruben won! i am not putting him down, i like ruben, but i think he should have more fans than clay if he won, and i really looks to everyone as though clay is more popular.

To the person in New Zealand, sorry if I came across as not liking your country, it was not that at all. But I do stand behind my statements about insulting Ruben to make Clay out like he is the winner.

Why can't you fans of Clay just say how much you love Clay? Why must you put down Ruben, the reason is you are still and forever jealous, angry, mad, you fill in the blank, that Ruben won and Clay did not. You act like you and Clay are the only people who have had disappointments in life, we all have, but like most people we get over it and move on.

I came to this site to discuss our favorite idol, but instead, I read, I love Clay and I hate Ruben. How can another human being make fun of another? Answer: Because if you put down Ruben, this makes you feel good, and this is terrible.

r u a ruben fan? you should post at his forum. no one has posted there in a really long time. i believe the last person was me, like a month ago. i don't want to put down ruben, that's just the truth. i like ruben. he's a good singer. i don't think anyone here hates him, we just want to know why he won because clay appears to have more fans. i don't know about everyone else, but i am just honsetly confused about this whole thing. i really want to know WHY clay didn't win, because he seems to be more popular. i don't try to put down ruben, i like him, too!
