I found this on another site, and thought that I would bring it over here for all of us to try it out and discuss the different aspects of being placed in which house, etc....
The sorting hat quizzes I've seen don't really work right (IMO) so I thought I'd make my own. On this site, we've gotten a better Idea of why the sorting hat puts people in the houses it does, and using the theory that its what you value more than how you act that puts you in a house I came up with this (its really basic, just tally your A's, B's, ect.. )
1) You walk into a very exclusive hypothetical party. Standing in front of you are four groups of people who are famous for various accomplishments. Which group do you walk up to talk/listen to first?
A) A group of Firefighters and Police officers that were in New York on Sept. 11th and ran into the WTC.
B) A group of Nobel prize winners, famous scientists, science teachers and philosophers of our time.
C) A group of very good grade school teachers, the leaders of various "save the earth" organizations, the old Martha Stewart (before she got herself into trouble) or similar, and a couple of people that you recognize.
D) A group of entrepreneur, Bill Gates and Donald Trump, various politicians, people who successfully started their own business.
2) If you could talk to one person anywhere in history, dead or alive right now for only an hour, who would that person be? (Think of an actual name first then answer)
A) a famous General or a brave president/politician
B) a famous scientist, philosopher or Author.
C) a relative who has passed away, a teacher or love one that you miss.
D) a famous politician (all other), or an entrepreneur (Bill Gates, Trump or similar)
3) Which type of person bugs you the most?
A) people who back down from a confrontation (verbal or physical)
B) people who are ignorant and don't seem to have much common sense
C) people who cheat on their husband/wife
D) people with little direction in life, who sit on welfare and don?t really care if they get a job or not.
4) Which of the following groups of people do you admire most:
A) The people who tried to hide jews and other persons in danger during World War II.
B) Noble prize winners.
C) People who work hard and persistently and manage to reach their own goals, no matter how high or low those goals are. The most important thing is to do your best and be satisfied with what it brings you.
D) Hitler, Stalin, Kennedy, Churchill ie ANY great, powerful president/politician that got to lead a nation and became a "legend" one way or another.
5) Finally which group do you think you belong in?
A) Gryffindor, I value bravery the most
B) Ravenclaw, I value intellect the most
C) Hufflepuff, I value loyalty the most
D) Slytherin, I value ambition and determination the most
(Its a work in progress ) Do I even have to tell you what letters stand for what? Which letter did you have the most of? A=Gryffindor , B=Ravenclaw , C=Hufflepuff , D=Slytherin . So how did you do? Did this quiz work in your opinion? If you have any questions to add to the quiz or suggestions for answers to the questions above please feel free to add them.
1) * A) A group of Firefighters and Police officers that were in New York on Sept. 11th and ran into the WTC.
I would have gone to talk to the people in law enforcement, just because law is my minor and I've always been fascinated with it, and those who work so hard to keep us safe.
2) * C) a relative who has passed away, a teacher or love one that you miss.
I was extremely close to my aunt and my grandmother growing up and I would give anything to get to sit and talk with each of them one last time. There isn't any person, dead or alive, that I would rather meet, other than Lucy Lawless (Xena) who is my idol. My family are the most important people to me, ever.
3) * A) people who back down from a confrontation (verbal or physical)
I've always been the type of person who would NEVER back away from a confrontation, and my partner is the EXACT opposite of that, and it really bothers me that she can't stand up for herself. So, I would have to choose A for this one.
4) * C) People who work hard and persistently and manage to reach their own goals, no matter how high or low those goals are. The most important thing is to do your best and be satisfied with what it brings you.
My mother has a favorite saying that she has always said to me... and it's in my head and heart, forever. KEEP THE FAITH! She has taught me to never give up on my goals, dreams, and ambitions. It's a drive in me that she's instilled, and I think that it's a GREAT quality for any person to have.
5) * C) Hufflepuff, I value loyalty the most
I STRONGLY believe in being loyal to those in my life, that are not just family, but friends as well. People who are such an intricate part of the fiber of my very core. I love Gryffindor, and want to be in that house... but the four choices, and what the options with them, this is the one that just stood out to me the most.
It was close. Two answers for Gryffindor, and three for Hufflepuff. I still think that I would be placed in Gryffindor as a first choice, and Ravenclaw as a very close second. Only the sorting hat would truly know though, right? And I've taken the sorting hat tests on the official WB site, and it always gives me Gryffindor.
my answers were
1) c - because i'm a big environmentalist
2) d - i'd love to meet Shirley Chisolm
3) a
4)d - although they were horrible people, you have to admit that Stalin and even Hitler were brilliant
5) i can't decide - i value al of those things!
like i've said before,i think we all have attributes from all of the houses. but i can't believe i have more slytherin qualities than gryffindor qualities!
1. A.
2. C- I would have to see my Dad again.
3. C-People who cheat. Your word is your bond. If you make a vow before God and family, you keep it. You should also never make a vow unless you are sure you can keep it.
4. A. Those people did the right thing at a great risk to themselves. How could I not pick A?
5. A. I would have to pick Gryffindor. I am extremely loyal, but I think I have enough adventure and fire in me to be in Gryffindor.
