yo in the good charlotte video Boys and Girls theres a part of it in the begging n its where an old lady goes up to then n says hey boys n then one of gc say hey grl nice tie n then another gc guy say hey what u wanna do today n the old lady say dude u wanna crash the mall.thats in avrils video Complicated so do u think that GC is makin fun of avril??

yeah, they are, and it's pretty funny avril is kinda lame... some kinda "anti-brittney" but she's got the same set of fans. go figure

I hate avril and all of her preppy fans. Everey one of her <REMOVED> fans are preps. No skater that I know like her because they are sensible and KNOW she is a poser. If shes a skater and plays the guitar... then howcome all they show her do is ride the skatebord in 'complicated' and the only time she picks up a guitar is to strum it maybe 2 or 3 times,, and then smash the hell out of it.... such a shame... concidering the guitar was pretty much brand new! She's such a poser.. and I just wish that everyone here would relise that and go be a fan for a better group of people. ove on.. Avril is a Faze... a faze in which alot of people havnt even contributed to... so get over avril... she's ugly.... she's poses as a skater image.... blah blah blah.. i've had it. I hate her and thats that... peace

I don't think that Goood Charlotte are trying to take the piss at all. I think they just used that part of the video to make their point in the song that they're singing about. That's all.

Good Charlotte think they've been granted amnesty from EVERYTHING for some reason. I know a girl who's a good friend with Corey from Slipknot, and he said he's contemplating suing Benji Madden for wearing the Slipknot shirt in that video. They think they're punk, but they're "Pynk Rawk"...the poseur version of punk rock. They play pop music and they dress goth. That's the essential spirit of Pynk Rawk...pretending to be one thing in order to get people in the door, and then playing some music that sucks anyway but is in no way related to the way you're promoting yourself. It's about the music. What Good Charlotte does (as I'm sure I've explained several times before) is they completely disregard the fact that music should be MUSICAL and take some form of TALENT or VISION to create...and they slap some clothes from Hot Topic on it and call themselves a band. They saw that Hot Topic sold clothes that is relatively what punks are wearing these days, but they went to the BACK of the store (as it is SO punk to do) and shopped in the goth section, which grants them the title of "Poseur" and the subtitle of "not knowing what the hell they're doing". So they make fun of people in their videos (yes, that's what they were doing to Avril) because they think that becoming mainstream grants them this total security. Mainstream, to me, is what gets played on the radio. I don't think it's BAD per se to be mainstream, but once you sell out (namely: Good Charlotte, Avril (sorry, but it's true), Ashanti, Ja Rule, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Sugar Ray, Matchbox 20...the list goes on and on) you've become exactly that: a sellout. Now, some of the people I listed are teriffic musicians, terriffic talents, but they've succumbed to what the public wants them to do, or they went the other way and did what the public wanted them NOT to do, and that's just as mainstream.

That is very new to me, I have never heard that term before. But as of now, it makes sence and I completly agree with you. I think Corey SHOULD sue Benji Madden from GC. Benji had no right to wear a Slipknot [B]<REMOVED> in his video atleast without Slipknots' consent. That's what you're suppose to do. Where did you hear of this term "Pynk Rawk" Because It's new to me. Please explain. You seem to know what you're talking about.

Ok like, first of all I just want to say that I love Good Charlotte! They are so incredibly hardcore punk.. My boyfriend is JUST like Justin Timberlake, and we both LOVE everything about punk.. He even wears baggy pants! Isn't that so sk8r of him? He is a sk8er boi, just like Avril says in her amazing song! And I don't think that Good Charlotte would make fun of Avril, because they must realize how amazingly supercool she is!
