Who Wants to Marry My Dad

What a waste of life's precious time. I can't believe I watched it until the end. It's about a family (2 girls, 2 boys) whose father needs a new wife (I think his first wife died about 16 years ago.) And, of course, the family is very rich. So the children interview women, pick about 12, and one by one eliminate them either by asking them questions from a lie detector examiner or by their gut reactions. It finally came down to two women and the winner was last night. Nobody can tell me that the father wasn't involved in the choosing (even though he was supposed to leave it up to his children to pick their next mother). After they picked the winner he got down on his hands and knees and proposed. Of course she said yes. This woman was also married before and had children of her own. However, we never got to see the children. What if her children didn't like him or his children? I also can't believe that the two families never got together outside of the cameras range. Thank goodness it only lasted about 5 weeks. I'll be 6 feet under before I ever watch another show like this again. If anyone else watched this ridiculous, outrageous "reality" (Ha, Ha) show, let me know what you thought.

I really liked the show, they will get to the whole family thing after the show is taped I am sure, Was so glad that they did not pick Chrissy thought that she was just too young for him, even though they may be close in age, he has grandchildren and my opinion of her was vacations and boats and all that which would take him away from his family, think Christina is more compatible for him. Was a bit disgusted with him wanting to kiss Chrissy on the day he asked another woman to marry him but hey!

I know. Him wanting to kiss Chrissy was really disgusting!! I still think they should have at least shown us Christina's family. Plus, I didn't think he was that handsome and I also thought he was too into himself. I didn't like him. And the children (especially the younger girl) were fake. It would be interesting to see if Chrissy comes back with a reality shown based on her finding a suitable husband (kind-of-like For Love or Money 2).

Oh that would be fun, I don't think I would be surprised to see her sometime again, she was beautiful and very photogenic, And Even nice! The kids, I found the girls to be too fake and dad, well I think he is not so full off himself but rather a bit out of sorts, he didn't seem to me like he had dated a lot, because he seemed to be laking in social skills, seemed to be a kid in a candy store and all over the women, I mean my god he would kiss one, one minute and another as soon as the first left..Dad did me leave me with an ill feeling, but I still think the kids made the right choice,

I think they made the right choice also. You're probably right. If I remember correctly he hasn't dated in a long time. But he was still sort of strange. Maybe I should call the producers and tell them I have a suggestion for another reality show and make some money off the suggestion. Yeah, right, and "the little boy laughed to see such a sight, and the dish ran away with the spoon."

Wouldnt hesitate a minute to call the producers..you had a wonderful ideal...

The reason there isn't "Who wants to marry my Mom" is because MOST women (other than the ones that humiliated themselves on the above show) are too smart to be married a second time (especially one that their children pick out for them). That dark haired lady really had a crush on Mr. Clean. I hope she can get over it. Maybe they should do a show around her so she can find a husband and stop crying!!! You're right, the best part of the entire show is the lie detector guy Also, I thought the two had to get married? The way they looked last night it was they were still just dating partners. I think he still likes former Ms. America and I bet they don't get married!!! And why weren't her children on the air more than 3 minutes? I like the host. He's the one on animal planets with the animals that do tricks. All in all, it was a waste of an hour. I also wasted another hour watching the reunion of "For Love or Money."

I'm looking forward to For Love or Money and Big Brother 4 to be over already. They were too long (as with Cupid) and were beginning to get stale. Looking forward to Survivor but I have no idea what Bachelor Bob is????

My guilty pleasure is watching dating reality shows, but after watching the 2nd "Who Wants To Marry My Dad" I think I might be beating that addiction. The Dad was kind of a doofus and I wondered if the girls really were his daughters.

Read in the paper this morning that Jen Schefft (The Bachelor 3's fiance for 5 or 6 months) is going to be the new bachelorette. They're supposed to start shooting in September or October. I liked Jenn. I wish it had worked out with Andrew Firestone.

Well, you haven't missed much. Jesse Palmer and Bob Guiney
were both jerks. Andrew was at least classy. In retrospect, I guess he should have chosen Kirsten. But she was the "Bad Girl". America wanted him to choose the "Good Girl." Part of the reason given for Andrew and Jenn's breakup was that she was "a private person" and the media just unnerved her too much. Since she's going before the cameras again as the 3rd Bachelorette, I guess she's gotten over her "shyness." I guess we should be prepared to see her on "Hollywood Squares."
