| Right before Christmas music star Michael Jackson popped into town for a few hours, giving the $45 million Marden estate in Palm Beach, Florida a looksie.
A few notables:
Jackson arrived with a security team in two vans to see the 22-room, 17,000-square-foot Georgian-style mansion. The house was built in the early 1990s and is situated on 4.6 acres with 300 feet of oceanfront. Designed by architect Charles Harrison Pawley and designer Mark Hampton, it was renovated by New York designer Geoffrey Bradfield and featured in November 1999 in Architectural Digest
House said her celebrity visitor has not made an offer, but price was not an issue: "The $45 million didn't bother him. He loves the house."
Meiskin said Friday that his client's interest lies in something bigger.
"The house is exquisite, but it's not large enough, if you can believe that," he said. "We're really looking for at least 45,000 square feet. But we haven't begun the process in earnest."
Despite all of his controvercial decisions over the last several years and a drop in his popularity - Michael Jackson, to this day, is still loaded. *sigh* | |
