READ BEFORE POSTING - Forum Rules and Guidelines - Updated 8.9.03

Kobe Bryant Forum

First of all, welcome to the Kobe Bryant forum at INReview. As this forum has grown more and more popular, is has become necessary to put some rules and guidelines into effect. We need your help to keep this forum peaceful, clean, and friendly. Here's a few things that you can do to help.

BEFORE you post a thread:

- please do a search or read through some of the other topics to make sure your question/idea hasn't been posted before. If you want to expand on an idea that's already been posted - please do it in the same thread.

- don't post new threads just to try and be funny (ie. Bill and Ted pictures). Stuff like that, which is completely irrelavent will be deleted and just might cause you to get a warning.

BEFORE you post a reply:

- make sure that your reply is on-topic. Off-topic posts will either be deleted, edited, or posted as a new thread. All those options make work for the moderators, so please make sure you are on-topic.

- read the thread and make sure what you're saying hasn't been said before.

- keep in mind that anything I wouldn't show to my 11-year-old brother will be EDITED and/or DELETED!

- DO NOT flame another user, or get angry with them for posting their ideas. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. If it is glaringly obvious that the information is incorrect, then by all means post something that lets the person know. If the person just misunderstood something, that's not a crime, so help them out, and always make your fellow board members feel welcome.

Moderators and Administrators patrol the forum regularly, but we sometimes miss things. If you see something that violates these rules and guidelines, feel free to call to to our attention by reporting the post. Please, only use the reporting function to report really bad posts, not to share your commentary with us.

Well, ladies, gentlemen, children, and flamers, Kobe Bryant has made it to the Flamer's Ward. There have been some REALLY useless, off-topc, and rude posts in this forum. Some of these have been moved into the Flamer's Ward at INReview. If one of your posts made it into this thread, congratulations! You are being watched VERY closely in this forum!

Please, guys and gals, keep this forum clean and peaceful. Just because someone states their opinion and you don't agree, you don't have to start flaming them. Please read and re-read the Rules and Guidelines thread above. EVERYONE is capable of stating their opinions in a respectful manner. If you find that you are not capable of stating your opinions in a respectful manner, please contact me or another mod, and we will help you remove yourself from the forum.

This forum has the potential to become a popular and useful tool for sharing ideas and opinions, and I want it to be fun and safe for everyone.

As Mike said, we're discussing Kobe and Katelyn. We are not attacking each other. Please, before you post, read through what you've written and make sure that you aren't attacking someone. I know that it's easy for things to get heated... we all have opinions.

If you are feeling a little hatred or annoyance at someone, take a deep breath, grab a cool bottle of water, take a walk, do something... just don't attack someone. If you have any questions or concerns, we are here to answer them!...

The point was to illustrate perfectly how to make a useless post, completely disregard the words of two mods, and get yourself turned pink.
