cannot uninstall, install kazaa

Hi...need same help on this
I using v2.1.1 and like to upgrade to v2.5.1, the installer of 2.5.1 say my Kazaa was corrupted and couldn't fix the problem and exit. a earlier version tell the same story. so I decide to uninstall then install.

I couldn't uninstall my kazza v2.1.1, when i tried to uninstall, it read (error in C:\windows\system32\cd_clint.dll missing entry: servicerundll) I use spybot to check on the spyware and there is none - I had perviously cleaned them all.

I thought the cd_clint.dll was the problem, so I had downloaded a file of cd_clint,dll from the internet and replace them in my kazza and windows/system32 folder, still no success

(One thing when I temp deleted kazza, put in Recycle bin. I try then to install kazza again and the installer say error again)

Then I use kazaabegone to completely remove kazaa and the kazaa registry entires. Kazaabegone completely removed everything but then when I tried to install the kazaav2.5.1, the same error msg pop up again.

I d't understand, I thought everything of kazaa is wiped out according to Kazaabegone and there will be a clean path to install kazaa again.

When you install a program into windows a file is put into the windows installer. Check for a file in c:\windows\installer\

Depending on how many things you have installed there may be a lot of items there. If you don't find it there then it may be a registry entry.

You can also try a program called Ad-aware from Lavasoft

The Free version should work for you. I infact used that tool today to remove a pop-up that I kept getting.

I d't have a c:\windows\installer directory.
I using winxp
spyware not causing the problem, I had completely uninstall now but I just can't install.
