I saw this chick accept her award on the MTV Music Awards. when she took the award from Kelly Clarkson (American Idol fame), Kelly went in for a hug and Avril weaseled out of the hug and pushed Kelly away with a smirk on her face.

what's up with that? some kinda issue she has with people getting their stardom through methods not similar to her own... ? she not good with sharing the limelight (American Idol and her hit "Complicated" were both big at that time)... ?

spoke volumes about her personality to me (i.e. she's a wench).

I saw her for the first time on Saturday Night Live the other night.. Cute, decent voice, alright-lyrics - but a trashy, *****y little thing, indeed. She could do well without the attitude.. to me it is not an indication of strength, only an unjustified chip on her shoulder.

I wonder what her family life was like - and whether or not she had a father.

She particularly comes off as if her father didn't have a large impact on her life.

Aw man, it's just all so complicated.

all people who are against avril lavigne are freaks themselves because she is just like many people in this world. she is herself and she always will be herself.

Shhhh!!! Don't say that Avril is like alot of people. She is trying very, very hard to be 125% unique. Thats hard to do when you are always in the media eye. It's not her fault that she is unknowingly entering a group classification. My brother is the same way. He tries to hard. He won't hang out with preps, jocks, or any other "organized" groups. He only hangs out with people who don't want to be like anyone else, same as Avril. But in doing so, he has created an anti-conforation group, which is an oxymoron, and just the thing that he was trying to avoid. But he doesn't realize this and probably never will. The problem with the "unique" sight-line is that alot of these people are blind to actual individuality. And the blindness is contagious; it spreads through the whole group. So it is impossible to tell them they are, in truth, conforming to their established rule(s). Mainly being you must be unique. I'm sure that people will disagree with me. I am going to copy this and start a new post so I don't accidentally change the subject of this post. So if you have something to say about is look for this as its own post. Thank you.

1) Avril did have a father, I happen to know that he took her fishing (or was that her uncle). As for impact, maybe Michelle could fill us in here(¬)

3) As far as the pop (american) idol thing goes. I see it like this:

Avril worked hard to get where she is today, When someone is just given the chance like that, its an insult to all people who work hard, thus allowing her to get offended.
