Harlemm & Shannon are the new Ruben & Clay

Ruben is the winner of American Idols, but it's the second place finisher, Clay Aiken, who is selling more CDs and getting more attention in the pop music world.

The same thing could happen with Harlemm and Shannon. Harlemm is the winner of Fame, but Shannon might win the marketing sweepstakes.

Harlemm will have the billions of people in China buy his CDs. as well as his fans in the U.S.

oh and the phillipines too.

Wrong analogy!!Harleems voice is more of mainstream than Reubens!! He will do better than Shannon because his voice just rocks!!!

Shannon will become more popular due to her appeal to those who enjoy the bubble pop like Play, B Spears, Christina A, and Aaron Carter. Harlemm will probably be too mature for the pre-teens, thus be less popular. He still has my vote through and through though!

There was a big difference. Ruben won over Clay cause of an unfair voting system in effect - in other words - not everybody who wanted to vote for Clay was able to - so Ruben lucked out on a technicality. In the Fame contest, all who wanted to vote were able to - thus the voting was fair all the way.

How do you know the voting was fair in Fame? Let me guess, because there were no black contestants in the final 2? That makes voting automatically fair, right? You'd be singing a different tune if one of the black contestants had won. You'd be like "I couldn't get through, the phones were rigged" just to make yourself feel better. Some of you people SUCK!!! Know it alls!

Ummm... I have been here for weeks reading these boards, and many people have had phone voting problems throughout the entire show. No one knows if any show is "rigged". TV is a BUSINESS industry, it could ALL be rigged. Seriously, think about it. A TV show is written by people who make up stories, none of that is real. This subject has been "threaded" to death on every board. Let's just pretend (like we are living in the 50's) it's all legit and enjoy life.

What is up with the race card? Reuben rocked!

Race is just a face, it's what's inside that REALLY counts.

oops your wrong and I guess we'll see in the record sales, come on do we need to act like kids. They are both talented now just let me live, they both have a journey ahead of them, regardless of how you may bash Shannon. She can sing, give me a break, and actually I could care less, because Shannon has a future and lord willing it will be extensive. Harlemm is great also and I think he will probably succeed. I know we have a right to our opinions but why does it have to be so ugly. I give all 12 contestants a pat on the back for putting themselves in the public eye, jeez until I came to these boards I didn't know how bad it is. If you had met Shannon before this just on the street you would be a strong supporter, she is a humble, caring, and stong woman, who's values people, family, and has a passion for singing and dancing. So just let her be, and support who you want to, but stop bashing on someone you don't know, and you really haven't even heard the best of her singing (besides Tina Turner song).

Congrats to Harlemm and the other finalist!!!

Ruben is doing just fine! The black community has embraced him and he is all over the place! Magazines, radio, award shows. What's Clay doing besides that Rolling Stone mag.? These men singing style is different. They are both great. I love Clay's voice, but I don't like his type of music. I would never buy his cd, but he is a great singer.
