It is so clear that Shannon should have won Fame, and not Harlemm! He's so old anyways, he's only gonna last a few years. Someone young and more talented should've won, instead of 'short, bald, and 35'.

Shannon got a record deal as well. Beggars can't be choosers.

There are a LOT of stars that are old but still fresh. Johnny Depp, Michael Vartan, you get the picture.

If it was so clear, why did Harlemm win?

I'm talking about singers, not actors. Everyone knows that young talents are more popular than older ones. And, everyone knows that the music that Harlemm will make will be more based for younger people to listen to. I'm still so happy that Shannon got a record deal. This goes way back to the time of American Idol. Ruben was still the winner but Clay's records outsold Ruben's 4 to 1.

The pre-teens and B. Spears lovers will probably flock to Shannon, since it seems that is what is selling these days. But for the people who are past the bubbly pop craze, however unpopular such a taste is, will go for Harlemm .

I'm past it and i love shannon and my aunt also loves her as well, as soon as the show was over, the phone rang and it was her, the first thing i heard was "that was a crock of ****",lol shannon is the real winner

Shannon, In my opinion was the worst out of the four remaining finalist. What got her through was her beauty and not her talent. They were looking for a triple threat and I believe the Harlemm fits their moldCongrats Harlemm

Harleem has an amazing voice. It is sad that no one gave him a chance for show biz before his 36th birthday. For those who say he is old, well he looks younger than the other contestants!! Eventhough Shannon got a contract also, hers will not be quite the same as Harleems.

Shannon does have talent -- as a dancer. Her singing voice wouldn't win any contests. She made it on her looks and her dancing.

for those who say shannon can't sing, then why do you think she got a record deal?!? Also, they wouldn't have let her on the show if she couldn't sing and dance. Think people!

shannon and harlem were both my 2 favorites. i never voted even once throughout the whole competiition. whoever won was whoever won. america voted and harlemm won fair and square. shannon is very beautiful but might have just been grouped with the other young, blond singers. johnny must have a thing for shannon who looks like britney spears. he looked like a fool when he said shannon would be the winner, and then immediately afterwards also gave her a record deal. obviously if harlemm, a minority won, then he has true talent that won over people of all races which makes up the melting pot of America. as much talent as harlemm has, i thought tonight that shannon had won because for the smallest minority group as an asian to win would really be something. america really made an amazing decision.

How dare you say I'm illiterate! What I meant was that Shannon was the one who deserved to win fame, she put hard work and determination into all of her numbers. But at least she got a record deal, and she got where she did by her singing, dancing, and personality, not just her looks.

All right, I WILL admit Shannon has a great voice. However, she tries way too hard to bring it so low and diva it up, when all it ends up doing is wrecking the whole effect. If only she chose songs that were a little higher and more suited for her vocal range, then she would have received my vote. Yet she still insisted on going into a territory that she wouldn't do very well in.

Anyway, it's good to see, for once, something original hitting the CD racks. A short 36 year-old, bald Asian powerhouse. At last a breath of fresh air!

Well, Serena was my favorite...yes I know she is not a broadway dancer. BUT she had the best voice. Brandon and Harlem are both 3x threats. Shannon can not sing. So go Harlem!

I am over it, and I'm going to say she deserved to win as much as I want. I like Harlemm as well, but she deserved it, uh oh, whoops, I said it again, too bad. O yea, and that was rude to diss on my family too.

Well atleast now she has a shot at being the stripper she has the potential to be. When are you going to understand that it was her looks that got her 90% of the way thru the competition and NOT her talent. I will agree that she is talented, but NOT enough to be the winner of this competition. AMERICA voted, she wasn't the whip like you think she is.

Y'all ought to take a look at "Last Comic Standing". There is a young Asian contender, named Dat Phan ( Vietnamese ) who could possibly win. His sets have been far from "quiet" -- in fact, the last one was loud and almost lewd.

Further, I worked with many Asian ex-pats and very few fell into that quiet, shy almost subservient stereotype. In fact, quite the opposite. They were talented, bright, vocal, assertive, and even downright boisterous and demanding. Much the same as their American born peers

Shannon was great on fast numbers like "Proud Mary" but her voice waivered considerably (perhaps due to nerves?) on long notes during her ballads. I feel that she deserves a chance at a recording career but I wouldn't have placed her in even the top 4.

Why did they let her on the show cheerleader? I asked myself the same question. She was inconsistant and a nervous wreck most of the time. She reminded me of a high school cheerleader in a high school talent show.

The only reason I can think of for her presence is that the girl is pure sex.

Ok, I'm sorry but I have to say this...

You say the only reason Shannon made it to the final two was because of her looks. If Shannon was ugly I guarantee that you people would be saying differently. You would say she does have talent and deserves to win.

That is how America is. Some people cannot stand others who have looks AND talent. People who are compared to Britney Spears or someone else can't win competitons like this from the very begining. Shannon even inferred that she doesn't like being compared to her when asked about it and when they went to that clothes place.

Another example like this is on American Idol with Kimberly Caldwell.. she had looks and talent just like Shannon. Although I would say she is better than Shannon. She was voted off WAY too early. I had no doubt that she would at least make the top 5 because she was def. better than Carmen and Josh. But because she has looks.. she already has a burden not to win. Everyone automatically likes the underdog whether they have talent or not.

People need to get over the fact that there are good looking people who are talented too. Everyone can deny it all they want saying "What are you talking about? She has no talent!" But they would not have picked her to be on the show if she wasn't. Ohh, and earlier someone said Harlemm was a "powehouse." I'm sorry, but he is FAR from being a powerhouse. I don't understand what was so special about him.. but although my point again.. he was the underdog....

Shannon deserved to win... I liked her as soon as I saw her perform her first time. And to tell you the truth.. I was actually shocked to see that she got as far as she did because of people like you posters saying she has no talent.

America voted her through to the top 4, so people obviously like her. And btw, will you people stop comparing shannon to a cheerleader? Just because she is beautiful with blonde hair and stuff, this doesn't at all mean that she is a cheerleader. Stop the stereotypes.

Thank you and just because of this small representation of public on this board disagree there are a ton of people that support her and know that she has talent, and has what it takes. And, yeah she is pretty, and maybe if she would have been not so pretty she would have been take it better (on this board). Regardless they both got deals so good for them.

Ummm... cheerleader13, she worked in Portland as a professional cheerleader. That was one of her jobs. Cheerleader is not a derogatory in this case, it was a career.

Talent is in the "ear" of the beholder. When I heard Shannon sing, I cringed at the growling, the lost notes, the wavering and quavering.

Her performance of "I Will Survive" was one of the worse renditions of that song that I've ever heard.

I wish there had been vocal teachers and sound engineers watching Fame the way that they watched American Idol. These were true vocal experts who would comment and post about the quality of the singing voices on American Idol.

Shannon Bex would NEVER have made it to the finals of American Idol. She does NOT have singing talent. She is a trained dancer, but being a good dancer does not automatically make anyone a good singer as well.

Shannon's voice will have to be majorly masked in the studio.
