I am very disappointed in toinght's outcome. That's all I'm going to say about that.

I have faith that Brandon's career will still be a successful one... Fame must not have been the right path for him to take all the way to the top. Keep your head up Brandon... and if you need a 6'2" tall white boy to be a dancer for you just holler at me you know my number! We'd have a blast on tour! Or for that matter just join my FOSSE cast LOL.

Serena sounded awesome tonight by the way...she'll go far as well.

What's wrong with Harlemm? Brandon had ONE good performance in the entire thing, yet Harlemm remained consistent with one astounding performance after another. All the finalists are good, but as I've said before, in a competition, you fall to the one who's better.

Don't cry my little friend, no more tears, no more tears....

Rock on Harlemm!!!

I'm not crying at all. I didn't even have a dramatic response when brandon was announced at 3rd place. I just said :That's all I'm going to say about that" because nothing I say about Harlem is going to change the results. I was being mature and saying what happened happened so let's move on.

But since you urged me on... Harlem's performances were HARDLY astounding. He's not a tripple threat. He sings decently but cannot dance. He just marches around the stage on the beats while pointing to the crowd with a turn here and there. He is a performance artist not a pop star. So now that's all I'm going to say because I could say more but some people on this forum wouldn't like my professional opinion so I'm just going to keep it to myself.

Brandon may not have won but he will come out on top. Just wait and see...

I am unhappy that Brandon didn't at least come in second place.
He is much better than Shannon. But I did expect Harlemm to win because of his ovious talent. I wish him well but I will also be watching to see how Brandon's career goes. He nailed that song tonight and I'm hoping someone in the industry sees what all of the rest of us Brandon fans see in him.

God's Speed Harlemm-you are truly great!!!

Isn't a performance artist what we're looking for? I could care less if he doesn't become as popular as all the other corny pop singers. Seeing him sing to his own stuff makes me happy enough.

Professional opinion, eh? Mind indulging us on your credentials?

Ok first of all you're misusing terminology. A performance artist is an offbeat performer who can't really sing, dance or act but still does and gets away with it because it's usually "deep" or has some hidden meaning. The best example of a performance artist in mainstream media is Rachel Leigh Cook's character in the movie "She's All That".

As for my credentials...

I am a very diverse performer. I started out tumbling and diving and segued into performing. I've been a member of a successful professional dance company in NYC where I was a soloist in as many as 10 full works. I've toured North America with CHICAGO and CATS and in a few weeks I will set out on the International Tour of FOSSE. I performed in the Dick Clark Millennium Rockin' Eve show on ABC-TV. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. So as you can see, I am a trained singer, dancer and actor so I know what I am talking about.

I am not usually a "resume reader" but you asked so I told you. I hope it's sufficient enough for you. I'm happy for Harlem and I am sure he will make the most out of his win. Between Harlem and Shannon, he was the better of the two so the best man won.

Brandon is only a kid, who is getting better every day. When he finishes high school he'll be much better equipped to pursue his dreams.

if you really do know what youre talking about, you should know that brandon isnt good enough to win fame.
my opinion, he should sing in church only.

Don't forget his other gimmicks, such as the airplane thing with his arms and passing off Kung Fu exercises as "dancing"...

And don't forget he's always wanted to be a recording artist ... funny, guess you guys are wrong. Gerry Woo is not Harlemm, because as I remember correctly, Gerry Woo was a recording artist. Since Harlemm has always wanted to be one, guess he was never given that opportunity. Now he has the opportunity.

I think it's interesting that Shannon was offered a recording deal right in front of Harlemm. Kind of took a bit of the spotlight off Harlemm, but you could tell who Johny really wanted to win, but he is stuck with Harlemm. We'll see if Kung Fu and airplane moves can make a career. You never know.

Another thing I can't wait to see is who REALLY won. We all knew Reuben took the AI title, but we also found out who REALLY excelled. Time will tell for the Fame folks too.

I too am disappointed, but I hope Brandon will also have a career out of this. He didn't make it to the top four because he was bad. To say he should just be a church singer is pretty shallow.

I too am disappointed - but I have to nice. If Brandon couldnt win I'm glad it was Harlemm - but if Johnny was gonna sign another singer to his "recording" label it should have gone to Brandon or Serena. I am sorry for a negative post but Shannon really doesnt sing well enough for that. But then again neither does Britney

Harlemm is the one who "captured" the attention. Harlemm's own focus on the Asian thing was his self-marketing gimmick if you will. This was his way of making himself appear "unique" and an appealing "underdog" at the same time. The age thing only amplified this.

All things considered tho', Harlem IS the one who stands out in the final 4, because he brings something different to the mix -- or so it appears. I agree that Brandon is very talented and appealing but one of those diamonds who needs a little polishing. Remember, the winner becomes a "spokesperson" and Brandon seems a little young and inexperienced for that role.
Sorry to their fans and supporters, but I found both Shannon and Serena pretty cookie-cutter ordinary.

I can see Brandon, Shannon and Serena as chorus leads and background dancers in a professional Broadway production. Forgive me for the typecasting, but I can see Shannon and Serena as the boom-boom "girls", Brandon as one of the soldiers, and Harlemm playing "The Engineer" in Miss Saigon.

That's my "professional" opinion

I was disappointed that Serena didn't win..I thought from the beginning that she deserved it.

As for Shannon getting record deal...that's crap. The industry definately does not need another britney...Considering Britney is fading anyway.

Harlemm's airplane moves may have wowed some people, but really, he ran i circles with his arms out. Little kids do that every day, but do peopl think it is deep and meaningful...NO. It's dumb..Harlemm should have left many of his moves to a younger generation...MUCH younger. I mean he has a good voice. There's no denying that, buthis voice wasn't miles better than Brandon OR Serena. Plus He looks like alien (The Planet Harlemm shirt was wayyyy ironic.)

Brandon~He has talent but he still has plenty of time to build a career. He'll definately show up somewhere down the line.

Anyways...Harlemm won, and that's the result. It's what America wanted.

Like a couple of other people have mentioned, I also found it questionable that Johnny offered Shannon a deal right on the spot when the focus should have been on the winner of the show.

Also, since he was being so generous, why offer to help only Shannon? Why didn't he even say anything about the others in the top 4,
Brandon or Serena?

I'd like to see Brandon get a deal at a different label where he can be groomed and prepped for a career.

I know there were quite a few of us who were hoping that Brandon would win; however I am not totally surprised that he did not win. Maybe surprised in the fact that he finished in 3rd place being this competition was supposed to be a 'triple threat'. But, when you really think about it, Brandon's maturity level still needs growth. He's got to really know himself and become comfortable with who he is and be ready to handle the stress, pressures, and temptations that are destined to come his way. I think this competition has definitely taken him to a new level. When he completes school there will be less distractions and I believe he will come out strong. I am not saying he should abandon his craft until then, but more or less hone his craft. Then success will come to him, especially if he does not abandon his faith. As I previously stated, there is a lot to be said about God-given talent. Harlemm...well what can I say about Harlemm..congratulations to him..Shannon...Hhmmm! I hope they get what they want out of their new careers.

Just when I thought Harlemm couldn't possibly get any more ridiculous, he tops himself with yet another looney tune.

I couldn't believe that a 35-year-old man would embarass himself by singing "Tomorrow" from Annie. I mean c'mon now!! The song is meant to be sung from the point of view of a little orphan girl!!!

I've already seen enough of Gerry WooHoo's novelty act!!

Actually it takes a lot of talent to be able to transform this piece of garbage of a song into a real performance. Harlemm did that tonight, which confirms his awsome voice clarity, technique, control and creativity...

This isn't American Idol you fool, It's about being a triple threat, NOT a pop star. Man, 8 weeks later and they STILL don't understand!!!!

Can you please tell me what entitles you to a "Professional" opinion?

This was posted in this thread? Where is it now?

So, if Harlemm couldn't sing, or dance, as per your description of a "Performance Artist" they why did XXX amount of million people vote for him week after week after week? If he didn't have what it takes to be a star, why does he now have a record deal, image consultants, potential endoersement contracts and his picture below the caption of Fame WINNER?

Tumble on buddy, your opinion is garbage...
