I do beleive that in the first or second book I am not positive that Professor McGonagall is reffered to as Head Mistress that may explain the closeness between her and Dumbledore, her being second in command type relationship. Dumbledore seems to handle most situation that arise outside or howarts whereas Minerva is always there when something happens in the castle....

I also think that the mirror that Sirrus gave to Harry is going to be used or play a large part in the next book. I think JK used this book mostly to plant seeds for the books to follow we are not supposed to understand by the end that is the whole point.

There is something that has been bothering me, I heard that in an interview JK was asked what Harry was going to be when he grows up and she replied what if Harry doesnt grow up......:confag:

I agree that this book is a seed-planter. This is primarily because this book has begun to tackle the issue of death, which I think will become important in the remaining two installments. In regards to JKR's reply, perhaps she's referring to Harry's death. I'm not implying that Voldemort will emerge as the victor but there's nothing in the prophecy that says they can't both be dead.

I'm not saying Harry's death is the only end you could have to the series, because it's slightly contradicted by the fact that the books are written from his perspective. However I hope JKR doesn't resort to some cliché finale that falls beneath what the whole journey has been building to.

I agree, it would definetely ruin the series if in the final book Harry meets his demise, JKR would have to change her complete writting style so that we would see everything from someone other than Harrys perspective. I hope that is not the road she decides to take.

If I remember correctly, and I may be wrong, but doesn't Harry throw the mirror and break it against the wall or floor in sadness and frustration after Sirius died?

Yes, Harry threw the mirror into the his trunk and it shattered. He then started throwing other things at the broken mirror. It's gone. I completely forgot about that. Pg 858 American version

I had to go and look it up when the question was posted earlier. Because, I honestly could not remember the answer. I really need to reread the book. I'm just so caught up in some other reading that I have right now. And you know, once I start a book, I can't stop until I've finished.

I download books off the net, into my palm pilot. I must read, on average, one book per day. I LOVE reading.

Go in to the Scuttlebutt Lounge, and the General Discussion. I started a thread in there called, Good Books to Read. I'm really trying to get people in there, but not having a lot of luck. I posted a trilogy in there, and was hoping that others would do the same. That way, we can all find good books to read.

Good idea there KJ. I posted a little recommendation in there myself. It would be nice to find a way of attracting a few more people as well.

I am glad more people think Harry might die at the end of the 7th book. Why not? If he does what he needs to do (killing Voldemort) I think it is possible that Rowling kills him too in the fight. What kind of end would it otherwise be. He is living happily after with Ginny teaching Defence against the Dark Arts ot Hogwarts? I don't hope so!

i think that Percy will die in book 6 or 7,i mean read book 5
Albus,will get in trouble...Harry will became a Animagus,or a Polymagus,duelling will take place
And i have a theory,Voldemort sleeps with a Muggle that will have 2 doughters,Petunia and Lily..

There was an interview, can't remember where, with JKR, and she said that Harry will NOT become an animagus like his father.

Yes, I can imagine that Voldemort has a daugther Lily! There must be connection and not just one that is a coincidence!
Why would Percy die. He is not an interesting character anymore in the series. I just think that it would be a good idea to kill Harry in the end, because that would make it an ending everybody will talk about.

I would love to find out that Voldemort has a child. Especially if he has NO idea that he is a father. That would be something. A great twist in the story, no doubt. I wonder if finding out that he is a father would do any change in Voldemort. Or, if it would just make him want to train her to be just like dear old dad.

Hey but no one knew then that Wormtail was a Death Eater. Anyhow, he belongs to Slytherin before anywhere else, but still there is no proof that he was one of them.

Wormtail was probably a griffindor, otherwise why would have james. sirus and lupin been close friends with him.

DONT YOU DARE TALK ABOUT DUMBLEDORE THAT WAY. THAT MAN HAS MORE COURAGE, STRENGH AND MAGIC IN THE TIPS OF HIS FINGERS THAN YOUR LORD WILL EVER DREAM OF.

And hmmmmmmm... NO ONE will ever defeat Voldemort? Hasn't Harry defeated him every single year? He has ruined the plans of your master. And, he DID defeat him, ohhhhhhhhhh, 15 years ago. Your mighty master was destroyed because of Harry. So, I'm not worried. Besides, it is a KNOW fact that Voldy fears Dumbledore. Why is that? Because he KNOWS that Dumbledore is a very powerful wizard, and knows what to do to fight him off. That's why he has slaves, because he needs to send them in to fight in his place. Still doesn't work though.

*Fawkes swoops in and spits at Nion, then lands on my shoulder*

Mess with Dumbledore, will you? Go ahead... Fawkes will take care of you, just like he did the basalisk!!! Care of have your eyes removed? He can do that, and a lot of other things while I think about it.

I beleive Nion needs to have his eyes removed, perhaps then he shall be able to see things the way they actually are

anyway...Harry didn't defeat my Dark Lord...never...
in those 5 years,he didn't defeat my master,he just ruined his plans...and Harry didn't defeat Him 15 years ago,his Mudblood did it.Stupid women
