I love this actor, though I see him as more of a great martial artist and a model.

Van Damme has lead an interesting life, but I tend to believe him on everything he says in legal matters:- their is this woman who claimed Van Damme demanded oral sex off her, I say ********:- c'mon the guys a famous sex symbol, why would he demand anything? He can get all the girls and oral sex he wants! Why would he make trouble for himself? Also if he did really ask her she would have said YES, come to think of it, I think she asked him if she can give HIM oral sex and he said NO, then she got pissed, either way the tramp just wants money like many other desperate americans.
He also has had a couple of big martial arts tournaments, and been divorced and married a couple of times the tiger!

I must say his best roles have to be "BloodSport" & "KickBoxer".

Incedentally I must say:- Jean Claude Van Damme is the coolest name I've ever heard.

1.Experienced martial artist, yes. Good actor, not even in his dreams!
2.Just because a woman makes an allegation, does not make her a tramp.
3. Jean Claude Van Damme has had failed marriages due to his infidelities.
4. He strikes me as the kind of arrogant S.O.B. that would demand Oral satisfaction, thinking that any woman would drop to her knees at the sight of him anyway.

I'm with you on that chelktty. He comes across as arrogant, and that his stuff doesn't stink. And the fact that he can't stay loyal to his wife while married... that says a lot. And, if someone was going to become the next Mrs. Van Damme, I would really consider such a thing before saying "I DO" to that man. He is great at martial arts, but he really can't act worth a hill of beans!

I don't know... I've never felt that he was spectacular in martial arts... I just think that he can kick high, and he's one of the few guys i've seen who could do straddle splits.

He can't act, in my opinion. His movies all seem to have the same premise to them (at least the ones I've seen..) He has done well for himself financially though. I'm not hating on him. I think that his success speaks for itself, but I'm just not one of those that feel he is special in any significant way.

I just saw "Replicant" the other day and I thought his acting was good, I didn't see right through him, and man could he fight. Van Damme can act, I dont know what ur all talking about.

Van Damme claimed that their was a point in his life where he could do anything with his legs, thats why he can do all those things that other people cant, his ballet lessons also contributed to his martial arts.

I dont see why he even gets married if he wants to be unfaithful, why doesn't he just stay a free man and screw around without the embarrasment, but I guess he wants someone to come home to at night and also want extras on the side.

Jean also has a very bad drug addiction, I can't think the name of the last action movie he hit big with but he was under the influence of cocaine and seeked rehabilitation help shortly afterwards. He looked sickly too, as for him being arrogant I believe it, I can't think of the biography but Jean was with some other actor and well they were getting drunk and loud, I definately believe the chick who accused ol Jean of forcing some tender loving.

Put Jean Claude, and Mike Tyson in a 5 x 5 room, put it on reality t.v., I'm telling ya it'd be a hit!

Jean Claude was scared in 1999 that the end of the world would come in 2k... he bought a large piece of farm land in Australia and stayed there through the 2k celebrations, just in case...

Also, he once tried to pick up my friend's wife... apparently he's quite agressive in doing this too

I don't know why I mention these things, I just do. Some stupid trivia for you guys there.

I did like his older movies, but definately not for the acting the whole point of them is this guy beats up that guy. That's it.

GREAT MOVIES BY HIM:

1. Time Cop

2. Double impact

In time cop he had to play 2 versions of himself, from 10 years apart. His whole attitude was different. One was excited and charming and happy. The other was calm, mission oriented and desensatized.

In Double Impact he played twins of himself. One was an arrogent drunk prick who had the hard life. The other was a quiet, naeive ladies man. He had to argue with himself in that movie!

I'd say Van damn is an AVERAGE actor. There are much better actors, but watch those movies and call him a terrible actor.

That's my opinion.

Van Damme has had a couple good acting roles, but mainly now he is a crappy actor. The one thing that I do not like about him is that he is a cocaine addict. It has been documented that he has a drug history of cocaine and that he has beaten his ex-wives before they divorced. Other than that, I love "Bloodsport", "Kickboxer", and "TimeCop".

What about Street Fighter with Kylie Minogue? My God, that was just about the worst movie I have EVER seen.
