Rumors & Facts to the HP books |
| Posted by: Lawless | | Okay... here's something that was publised like a year ago about rumors and even facts, on the HP books. It includes book 5, so we can see what was rumored that made it in the book, and what didn't.
For the rumors on books 6 & 7, what do you think will become a fact? Are these things too far fetched to happen???
Please share your thoughts...
***********************************************
Book 5
-Harry is 15 years old
-The title is going to be Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix
-There's going to be lots more stuff on Lily Potter, including info on her maiden name
-Why Voldemort hunted down and wanted to kill Harry's parents will be revealed
-Former Professor Remus Lupin will return and be one of the main characters in the book
-The real Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody will return as well
-Harry will become the new Quidditch Captain for Gryffindor!
-Hermione becomes a Prefect!
-Hermione visits Viktor Krum over the summer in Bulgaria
-One of Harry's friends/or fans will die
-Sirius Black will be another one of the main characters
-Professor Snape will pretend to be a Death Eater & rejoin Voldemort's side again, but actually just spy for Dumbledore (remember how in the Pensieve(Bk. 4), Dumbledore said how Snape turned to their side & spied for them before Voldemort lost power, and how in the end of Bk. 4, Dumbledore was all mysterious & said to Snape you know what you have to do..and Snape left)
-In all future books (starting Bk. 5 and on) J.K. Rowling said she will write more complicated, harder, higher level, and darker books, so maybe it's directed at older people now?
-Fleur Delacour will become a teacher at Hogwarts (remember how she said, "I am 'oping to get a job 'ere, to improve my Eenglish," Bk.4-pg.628)
-The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher will be female (maybe it's Fleur?)
Book 6
-Harry is 16 years old
-The title is supposed to be Harry Potter and the Green Flame Torch, and the torch is supposed to be something that destroys all evil and heal everything good
-Even more stuff on Lily Potter will be revealed again (I think more and more will be built up and revealed book by book in the final few books...)
-James & Lily's occupations will be revealed (this may be in either Book 6 or 7)
-Stuff on how/why some people become ghosts is revealed (this may be in either Book 6 or 7)
-Hermione gets injured and has to stay in the Hospital Wing for a bit
-Harry and Ron will fight Lord Voldemort together (because Hermione is injured)
-The return of Peter Pettigrew! dun dun dun...
-Sirius Black's record will be cleared, so he is proved to be innocent
-Harry leaves the Dursleys to go live with his godfather, Sirius!
-Why Harry is so rich (or rather, why his parents had so much money to leave for him) is explained (this may be in either Book 6 or 7)
-Harry gets a girlfriend (but nobody knows who!) maybe Cho, Ginny, Hermione, etc.. (this may happen in either Book 6 0r 7)
Book 7
-Harry is 17 years old
-The title is supposed to be Harry Potter and the Fortress of Shadows
-Tons of very important information on Lily Potter will be revealed, it's supposed to be very shocking news too!
-Why Lily Potter's wand was especially good for charm work is revealed
-Harry is revealed to be the Heir of Godric Gryffindor
-Headmaster Albus Dumbledore dies
-Harry and Draco Malfoy overcome their differences to team up and defeat something evil
-Harry defeats Lord Voldemort, once and for all!
-Hermione is made Head Girl!
-Harry is made Head Boy!
-Hermione and Ron get together/go out
-Professor Severus Snape falls in love
-Some of them will become teachers at Hogwarts, and the rumor is that it may be Neville who will teach Herboloby
-The fact that Harry has green eyes is important
-The last word of the book (and series! ::sniff sniff: will be scar | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: mrhsia22 | | All these rumors in book 6 and 7 seem pretty interesting and exciting.
I guess some of the stuff about Sirius and Hermione being a prefect already happened since we all read book 5.
It wouldn't surprise me if characters like Peter Pettigrew came back because we all saw the return of former characters in book 5.
The one thing that I am especially interested in is the relationship between Harry and Draco. Their relationship kinda mirrors that of James and Severus. Even though Harry didn't pick on Drace like James did, Drace has strong anamosity against Harry for being so popular and able to get away with everything.
I think Harry will begin to realize that in the upcoming books because he had a chance to see how his father treated Snape when they were students. And how much Snape was scarred for being picked on.
It also wouldn't surprise me if Draco came to his senses later on in the next 2 books to help Harry. On the other side, Draco may have so much hate for Harry because Harry got Lucius thrown in Azkaban that Draco ends up joining Voldemort or even becomes the next Voldemort. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | Well, of course. Who knows what JKR has planned, but I don't think that Sirius will be back. If he did come back, my mind would be blown. Unless he really was never dead to begin with, but Voldemort has to think so.
Yes, some of those rumors are really great. Time will tell. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: mrhsia22 | | You know what? That may be something that we all overlooked. Sirius may not be dead at all. Sure he got hit and fell through that veil thing, but it could all be a trick that Sirius could help out Dumbledore fight Voldemort. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Maja88 | | I want to believe you're right, Mrhsia, but I don't think so - as :-( as it is, Sirius is dead, and all these rumors were spread when the 5th book wasn't out yet so people were thinking Harry's obviously going to live with Sirius... but after book 5 and also after what Dumbledore told Harry about his bond with aunt Petunia I don't think Harry is ever going to live with Sirius:-((( | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: PheonixSong | | That is a very interesting view about Sirius and I hope it is true. I know JK is using Harry's pain to mold his character, but the death od Sirius was just so tragic, I have never cried reading a book and I think I cried for the remainder of the book after he died. I really hope he comes back. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | True that the pain that Harry is going through will help to shape the man that he will become. It will make him all that much stronger some day.
As for Sirius... I'm not holding my breath. I think that he's dead. Even though we want him to still be alive... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: PheonixSong | | I suppose you are right I was just so pissed off and upset while reading it..... strange having to come to terms with the death of a character in a book..... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | Actually, it's not really all that strange to have those emotions come up with the death of a character that you have been reading about, or watching in movies/tv. They might not be real people... but you still feel attached to who they are. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: peregr!n | | I dont' think Sirius will be back as such, but I think he will visit Harry, in his dreams or something, and help him. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | Well, I don't know if he will ever come back through the veil, but I just don't believe that he's gone for good. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: peregr!n | | JKR wouldn't just kill Sirius for no reason....there has got to be something he can do when he is dead that can help the Order or Harry. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: varra | | Actually, the way Sirius died intrigued/bugged me. i mean, he left after making a rather pompous remark and it was sudden, just like cedric's death. The way JKR portrays death is different from the fantastical/magical theme of the book, it is somewhat real...non-dramatic... and I can neither say that i like nor dislike it | | Reply To this Message
