This is the room for those of you who are courageous and brave.

This is your house, where you belong. So, pull up a chair and become a member of the Gryffindor house. Maybe others will follow. Maybe you will become a member of the quiddich team.

Or course... the house filled with brave and courageous people! And, a little daring, I might add. So, I guess that it's just you and me in this house so far, PhoenixSong. Maybe we will get some more people here.

okay, lets sit by the fire and do some homework .. are you done with your star chart yet?

i hate those boring essays for professor Binns .. uuaaahh ..

who do you think will be Gryffindors Quidditch seeker next year? Ginny or Harry? ...

anyway, lets go to bed early tonight so we can go down to the Quidditch field tomorrow morning and get some extra flying lessons on our nimbusses .. okay?

uaaah, I hate history of magic .. *scribblescribble*

I finished my star chart weeks ago!!!

And, I'm trying out for the seeker position. Harry has other things to do... and I really want on the quiddich team.

hey, fellow gryffindors!

i think ginny will be a chaser. but what i really what to know is who is trying out to be beaters next year? i think i'd make a beater.....

and can you believe we have double potions with the slytherins AGAIN this year?

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

With Slytherin? Oh man... I'm tired of that class, and I HATE the Slytherins, and how they can do no wrong in there. Isn't there ANY way to get out of that class this year?

You can see my star chat, but don't copy it. I worked really hard on it, just to get it perfect. Hermione and I both did ours together. You know how she is... we're going to get top grades on this.

Miniluv... sure, you be a beater. I will be the seeker. Who wants to be a chaser? Anyone want to be the keeper? We will win this year. Slytherin has NO chance.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: PheonixSong

well we will need two beaters I think I am going to try out, maybe I can knock some of the slytherins off their brooms next year.....cough cough Malfoy....

Good thinking, PhoenixSong. I will definately be appreciative of you knocking my competition down for me. Then, I don't have to worry about him... and just find and catch the golden snitch.

Has anyone noticed that the house elves haven't cleaned this place up lately? Has Hermione been talking to them again? I thought that Dobby was grabbing all that knitted stuff, since none of the other elves wanted it.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: ineli

there is another unfinished storyline here .. Hermione and the knitted hats for the elves ..

i saw her put up some socks again last night and this morning they were gone .. but maybe it is too much work for Dobby to clean the whole Gryffindor tower all by himself ..

i don't understand why Hermione doesn't get that the elves don't want to be free .. she can be soo stubborn sometimes ..

anyway .. i would like to be keeper on the team, but i don't think i stand a chance against Ron - maybe i can be his substitute in case he can't fly or whatever ..

by the way, KJ .. you and Hermione finished the star charts weeks ago, huh? .. well we just got the assignment two days ago .. you guys used the time turner again .. that's unfair .. you probably took one when we went to the Ministry of Magic .. i just hope you don't get caught .. but next time tell me, okay? I want to join ..

for now, i'll just ask Parvati to help me with the star chart - i just can't hear her ranting about professor Trelawney any more .. uaah ..

see ya ..

Oh man... I really let that slip, didn't I? Yes, we used the Time Turner. Hermione hasn't given it back, with Dumbledore's permission, of course. But, shhhhhhhhhhhh, don't say anything. It's something that we're going to use a lot, because we have no choice. You should see the workload that we have this year. It's a killer.... but now that we've taking our O.W.L.'s and gotten top numbers, we are both working hard at achieving our goals. Didn't you hear... like Harry, I'm studying to become an Auror. I'm going to be working hard with Harry to get as much accomplished as possible... and McGonagall is helping us out. She said that she thinks that we would both make great Auror's.

Pavarti will help you with that star chart... and yes, next time, you can come along.

We're going to the library tonight, and looking at the restricted book section tonight. We got permission from Dumbledore. Do you want to come along? There's some great spells that we're going to work on for DADA! It should be awesome.

As for playing Ron's back up, I think that would be great. I've talked to him, and he agree's. Even the "king" can get knocked down now and then!

now i have to think .. we'll i talk to you tomorrow, i need to go to bed, that Parvati girl just gives me headaches (sometimes i think i have a scar on my forehead myself ) ..

have fun at the library and don't get caught .. stay away from that screaming book ..

ineli

Reply To this Message

Oh, we won't be caught. We have permission from Dumbledore himself. He said that we could look at whatever we wanted. But, we have to leave all the books there. We can read them in the library only.

Yes, I do agree with you about Parvati giving you a headache. She's too much for me at most times.

Hey guys, my family just sent back my owl, Dream, with a letter. They said that they went to Diagon Alley and visited the Weasley twins store, and that it was really neat. The twins have got some great prank material in there, and that they bought some stuff and when I come home that they will take me there to pick out stuff to bring back!!! Oh boy... I think that we're going to have some fun in our house, but don't let Hermione know. She get's a little upset with all the joke stuff.

hey KJ,

you just pick out the good things, huh? .. studying with Hermione, using the Time Turner .. i started to wonder, whether you will be just like her, studying all day and being smart about it ;o) .. but then you told us about the joke shop and about getting something to bring to Hogwarts .. of course i won't tell Hermione .. she'd spoil it all .. by the way .. is she still knitting hats?

tell me, did you find any nice books in the library the other night?

ineli

No way... I'm not like Hermione in that sense. Sure, I love to study... and I love knowing as much as possible. I mean, hey... I'm studying to become an Auror, so I've got to know a lot and be able to do a lot.

Yeah... we're getting some good stuff from the twins shop!!

Yes, the selection of books in the forbidden section is great. You should see some of those complex spells. You won't believe what they require. You need to come with us next Friday night. We're going to use the time turner, of course, so that we don't end up loosing all that sleep. We pulled an all nighter, and learned so many spells, and practiced them too.

Hey... where are my fellow Gryff's????
It's too quiet here in the common room.
I'm just sitting here, starring at the fire, and waiting to see if Sirius will some how appear and let me know that he's really not dead. *sigh*
I've got ALL my homework finished. I've cleaned my broom. It's all polished and ready for some fancy flying. I've learned the latest spells that I need to keep Draco from bothering our "family."

Well, maybe I will see about a trip to the Hogs Head. I need some butterbeer anyway. Time for a nice cool drink. Maybe I will catch some of you there, hanging out.

Well, I have a few "older" connections, and I bet that I can send Raven with a message to this one person who I'm sure would meet us there, and buy the drinks for us!!! :-) You're right... nobody would ever be the wiser. Just don't tell Hermione. She's a real stickler for rules.

i'm going to go use the secret passage to honeydukes. this b-day party needs some chocolate frogs and pumpkin pasties! maybe i can even get some butterbeer

Reply To this Message

Yeah, that would be nice. We can use all the "extras" that you can find. Butterbeer tends to get snatched up really fast. Everyone loves it.

I've got a shot of firewhiskey for the birthday boys as a surprise. What a nice way to celebrate your birthday, right?

KJ,

how come, you are so sure that Neville's birthday is the 31st as well? .. in the book it just says, he was born at the end of July .. that could be 28th, 29th, 30th .. don't you think so? .. Wouldn't JKR have mentioned if their birthdays were on the exact same day? ..

just wondering,
ineli

Reply To this Message

Does it matter? If we're celebrating one, shouldn't we celebrate the other? We can't just throw a party for Harry and leave Neville out. That would be so rude. Well, unless he forgot... which is highly likely. Even if his remembrall is all red and trying to remind him!!! Can't you just see it now? "I'm supposed to remember something for today... only thing is, I can't remember what it is that I'm supposed to remember!"

Hey fellow Gryffs... where are ya now?????
Everyone just leaves me here in the common room, alone, all the time. I'm going to start becoming a hermit that talks to herself if I don't get some company in here. Either that, or I'm going to have to head down to the Slytherin commons and talk with Nion all about his lord voldemort. Please... where are you all???

well, Miss KJ,

since you won't help me, i am spending all my time doing stupid homework assignments .. aaaargh .. this professor Binns puts me to sleep even when i don't hear him, just by giving us booooring homework ..

i need to send an owl to my brother, i need to ask him something about the Room of Requirement - i definitely need a workout room, a punching ball at least .. could i borrow your owl, the school owls are so irritable ..

anyway, i'm in a dark mood, maybe i'll go with you to the Slytherin common room and do some dark talking *hehe*

Sure... Raven is fast with her deliveries, and get's a quick response from people. Just make sure that you offer her a treat before giving her the letter, or she won't allow you to get near her.

I could use that room of requirement, just for some serious relaxation. Too many people around making noise. Especially those Slytherins. Argh... they are so annoying.

Sure... money can do many things. But, without it, Draco would be just a common little boy in Slytherin. That is, when he isn't being turned in to a four legged creature. Oh, maybe I should have mad eye come and pay a visit. After all, he's quite good with transfiguration. I'm sure that we could find a suitable little animal, like a weasel, for Draco.

Reply To this Message

yeah, right, Nion. our quidditch team has skill, which is more than i can say for you guys. and don't forget that GRYFFINDOR won the house cup for 4 out of the past 5 years!

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

And, it isn't just luck that we've won. It's called SKILL. I haven't seen Draco catch the snitch. I haven't seen him do anything buy be mean, push people around... oh yeah, and to WHINE LIKE A BABY when he get's knocked off his broom. Look what happened to Harry. Did you hear him whining? I think not!!!

What's so special about Gryffindor? Well, other than having Harry in our house, how about Hermione? She is the smartest person at Hogwarts. Oh yes, and what about all the talent that is coming from our house? They are all training with extra DADA classes... learning advanced magic, on their own.

We've been the house that has saved Hogwarts time and time again. Did our house members think anything of it to go up against a troll? Nope! But did you see Draco? I think that he almost pee'd himself with freight. He isn't so hot when he doesn't have his daddy backing him up.

I'm sure that the list can go on and on. As a matter of fact... fellow Gryff's... why don't you enlighten Nion about some more things.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Miniluv518

sure. gryffindors are loyal, not just to our house but to hogwarts in general. like kj said, it was gryffindors who stopped quirrel from getting the sorceror's/philosopher's stone and qryffindors who killed the basilisk in the chamber. slytherins would only care about saving themselves; gryffindors are self-less and do what's right in general.

so what if hermione is muggleborn (DON'T CALL HER A MUDBLOOD!)? she's still the smartest person in our year. so what if the weasleys don't have alot of money? they're good people. it doesn't matter where people come from, nion. what matters is what they make of themselves.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: Lawless

See... ALL Slytherins care about is money and prestige. At least we know that when the chips are down, we have REAL friends, who love us, care for us... and will be there.

Hmmmmm... Harry doesn't belong in Slytherin. The difference between Harry and Voldemort is that Harry CHOSE to be placed in Gryffindor. BIG difference between your power hunger lord.

So what if Hermione has parents that aren't wizards. Look at her magical ability? She would kick any of your butts in a duel.

Oh boy... do the Slytherins REALLY think that we care that the Weasleys aren't rich? They are rich in love, and friendship. What they give is something that Draco's family can only dream of.

If you think that the Gryffindor house can't survive... take a look at all that we've been through, and we still make it. I would like to see Draco do the things that Harry has accomplished. He won't. He isn't that good of a wizard.

Now i think what's so wrong having friends.
yeah in Gryffindor u have friends,it's nice to have some, but we are what we are.Slytherin has something that no other house has...the chance to have unlimited power....and i would love to have. And this is not about good or bad.No.It's about power.
there aren't good ppl,or bad ppl. There are only weak ppl,and powerfull ppl.
So u'll have ur friends,we'll have or power.
And Dumbledore doesn't want to defeat my Dark Lord because his evil.He wants to defeat Him,because he wants to be the strongest wizard.

Dumbledore wants Voldemort stopped because he doesn't like seeing innocent people manipulated, treated like puppets on a string, killed, etc... Dumbledore isn't a power hungry person at all. He is compasionate, caring and wonderful. He is what I picture on a leader of the world.

Hmmmmmmm.... I don't know. Let's see, run Hogwarts as the Head Master. He is the leader of the Order of the Phoenix. And what else? I'm sure that he does a lot more than we're aware of... since he is the best wizard alive... and Voldemort is fearful of him. That must say something!
