What is your favourite song that Clay has ever preformed? I think mine might be Bridge Over Troubled Water, but I like other ones the best too! Clay is good!

Hmmm, I might say "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" only because it was the first song I've ever heard him sing and it litteraly blew me away.

I love "Bridge Over Troubled Water" because he kills it, and because Simon and Garfunkel are brilliant.

"This is the Night" is absolutely outstanding. I could put it on repeat and never get sick of singing it, or listening to it.

Also..."To Love Somebody" because, once again, he nailed it. Esp. at the end when he goes nuts. It's the best.

wow! i agree with Lou4565 totally!!1 I love songs when he goes nuts and gets completely into them. My Clay song of the moment is unchained melody, because i just downloaded it!!! hahaha, thats pertty sad, but i never really knew it, so i didnt really want to hear it and i dont really remember him singing it on the show! but i love it!

i know! that high note in unchained melodyl....ruben could NEVER do that! clay has so much range and i love watching him when he gets to a more challenging note! you can always tell because he gets so into it!

hahaha! you're right, Ruben couldnt do that! when thay were singing "for the longest time" my mom was like "that a pertty flashy song for ruben", but its that type of song thats good for Clay.

to me, ruben just has such a monotone voice, and clay has so much range, and in singing, range is definitely a plus, so that's one of the main reasons i think clay is a better singer, regardless of the fact that he's so cute, or that he's a good person! based on singing alone, i still like him better!

yea, that's how i feel too. Clay can sing pretty much any song. He can sing boring songs like what ruben would sing, but he could make them better, cuz he'd add higher notes and stuff. Hes good at songs with really high notes cuz he has such a great, boomimg voice!

i feel bad for ruben. i think he has to get more stage presence or something. clay interacts with the audience and keeps you feeling like he's looking at you. ruben just stands there

i know, and it's not like clay is doing some incredible dance move or something, it just feels like he's singing to you and only you and that he is truly enjoying it

yea, he doesnt really dance, but he points and does little movements. thats so cute!

Definately "To Love Somebody" was his BEST performance on the show, aside from BOTW (in my book the two are tied) Simon even credited Clay's magnificent rendition of "To Love Somebody" as the performance to win him the competition. Even though he doesn't have that dumb title of "The American Idol" (yes, it's a stupid title and I'd be embarassed to be called the "Idol" of anything, for the simple fact that the winner will forever be referred to that label) Clay has definately WON. And I really don't give a crapper if the world thinks differently.
That's just my opinion.

Personally I think Ruben is abusing his title. I mean, who goes on a show singing nothing but sad love songs, and gitty pop-rythems...to RAPPING? I know it wasn't all his idea, and it was more than likely the record label, but just because he's black doesn't mean that he has to Rap. I think he looks like an idiot. When he did his new song ( eh-hem...I mean Rap ) the audience was just like "um...what was that? I couldn't understand one word from that 3 minute long mumble!"

Clay sang "Invisible" ( you can DL it off KaZaa ) and the audiences reaction was so big you could barely hear Clay.

...Just another thing I'll throw in. Clay and Ruben have GOT to be getting sick of singing their trademark songs. I know they're everyones favorites because it's the only songs you can buy of theirs at the moment. But every single concert, and every show they've been on they sing those songs. Oh well...I'll never get sick of listening.

exactly, he is kinda abusing the title, because he won the title based on singing and then he does rap, which is just mumbling and talking fast to music! what's up with that! o yeah, and clay's gonna sing TITN on the view today! lol, in like 20 min where i live, what concert did you go to???

The Buffalo, Ny one. It was about 2 1/2 hours from my home-town. When me and my friend got there, we were like "woah, our seats are decent. We're gunna see perfectly" but when they got on stage, you could see 'em, but no details. With my binoculars you could see beads of sweat they were soo good.

Clay's voice is 100X's better in person. I've always wondered why people cry at concerts...now I know, cuz I got teary-eyed. I don't even remember him singing TITN because I was screaming so loud, and crying...I almost fainted ( that would've been bad *lol* ) he's just an amazing performer.

I called my friend while Clay sang, and I got her voice-mail on her Celly. She saved it, and if you check her voice mail, you can barely hear Clay cuz I was going NUTS, but there's a part on it where you can hear him go " lift me uuuuuuuuuup " PERFECTLY. I wish you could hear it, you'd die.

omg! can u say JEALOUS!!! wow! that's cool! i cried one day when he was on tv! i can't imagine in concert!!!

maybe it's a good thing i haven't seen him live....i still want to live! i would die crying and screaming! awww!

hahaha, i would cry so much to see him live! but about ruben, the bad thing is that he actually DOES have some singing talent!! why would he push that aside to rap? i mean, if you ACTUALLY CAN sing!!! that is so sad!

but i love invisible, clay does a good job on every song he sings, and this is no exception.

i know....it's almost like ruben is throwing his talent down the drain by singing rap....clay however....by singing like he always does is....blossoming! lol

he sure is blossoming! he's becoming better! ruben had a big fan base, but they'll leave if he raps, and the "rap fan" kinda ppl may not want the american idol to be a rapper. oops! can anyone else see ruben's career diminishing?

That's one of the things that's great about clay! he sings and it's almost like every song he sings he gets better and better! even on the show, he took the criticism and then came back the next week and blew us all out of the water! but, not to put ruben down, but i didn't see n*e*improvement in him. but if he ventures into rap, i can see his career going down the drain as well. not as many ppl like rap as they do other music.
