I am so excited! My best friend, who lives in Raleigh, NC, surprised me with two tix for her and I to see the AI2 concert in Richmond, VA on Aug 5! YIPEE!!! I live in Brooklyn, NY and everything in my area (NY and NJ) sold out already and yes I will happily drive 6 hours to be in the same arena as Clay!!
Has anyone gone to any of the concerts yet? Give us Clay feedback please

Hi,

I don't go until the 20th. but I started this same topic over on the AI site.

Hopefully we will have a report soon. InLuvWitClay is going tonight. (the 12th.) She said she would fill us in as soon as she could.

No one else has reported going as of yet.

Hopefully everyone will start filling us in. I don't want to wait until the 20th to find out what is going on. PLEASE - someone spill the beans.

I will fill you in on the 20th., after I see the show. I promise.

O.K. ---- OMG I have seen pictures of the concert.

I can't wait. The pictures show them with smoke all around them. Some of them they are dressed all in white.

In one Clay is dressed in Jeans and a hockey Jersey. (looking Good)

Come on Sunday the 20th. get here soon.

On another board they said that the concert was split up into two parts. The first part was about 40 minutes, the second part was about an hour.

Hey Guy!!!

I just seen the show. I posted all about it on AI theard, over in the reality tv part if you want to read it.

I will fill you in here later on today, but it is late, and I have to get up for work in about 6 hours, but I will fill you in as soon as I can.

All I can say is it was greeeeeeeeeeat, and worth the wait.

I went to the Buffalo NY Concert on July 19th...omg, you are going to LOVE IT.

I was fine, they did their songs and what-not but as soon as Clay rose from underneath the floor and "This is the Night" began to play, I thought I was going to pass out. I was shaking so hard and my eyes got all watery, I don't even remember him singing the song I was screaming so loud. His voice and personality in the show are FAR better than watching him on TV.

Also, he had more appearences on stage than Ruben did. Both Ruben and Clay each sang a new song from their upcoming albums. Rubens was some for of rap? It was horrible...Clay sang a song called "Invisible" which of course was fantastic, and got far more cheers than Rubens "wanna-be" rap session.

I hope you enjoy the concert, I know you will. Clay is amazing.

I was just on E*Bay looking up Clay merchandise. I guess there's a rare CD out of him singing "Look What Love Has Done" which isn't bad, I have it on KaZaa...but tickets for the concert, like row 4 and what not ( really close ones ) are going for hundreds of dollars. Row for is almost to $400, and row 10 is like $200. The most expensive tickets I could buy were $45....it's crazy!

Well worth it though, if I could, I'd buy em and go again to be that close to my heart-throb!

I wish i could go sooooooo badly! you're very lucky that you even were in the same building as him and got to hear his voice live! i probably would have a heart attack, or faint, or something! lol, you're soooooooo lucky! that would THE BEST if you could get front row seats! omg! that would be crazy! being that close to him! but you're really lucky!

E*BAY had a Backstage pass ( which you can use at ANY AI2 Tour in 2003 )

heh...it was going to almost $700, and this was about a week ago, so I dunno how much it sold for. Lucky people.

Oh, and yes...the show is split into 2 parts. The first part, every one of the people sing their own song ( in the order they got kicked off...so Clay is awhile ) then they take a 20 minute break, and the second half is mostly group songs, then towards the end it's mostly Ruben and Clay singing their new bits.

Excelent concert tho.

that's a cool story the people could tell Clay when they got to meet him. "i got this pass on ebay for like $1000!!!"

yeah, then he'd know, they either loved him A LOT, or had a lot of extra money to spend, but probably the first one! lol

Oh yeah, that pass was going for mega-bucks. At the concert, you could just see the people with passes dangling from their necks, I have NO idea how they got 'em, but I should've waited for someone to come out, and ask if I could use their pass for like 10 minutes, esp. if I paid 'em like 20 bucks. damn...too late now.
