I FINISHED MINE IN 4 DAYS!!!!!!!!!
I GOT SO INTO IT I GUESS!!

I finished it in less than two days. I got it on Saturday morning, when it was released, and I had a wedding to attend, and church the next day. Other than that, I spent the weekend reading until my eyes were going to burn up!!! It was well worth it though.

hey, guys! i finished it in ONE DAY, the same day i got it!!

I guess I'm the slow-poke then...When I got the book at mid-nite I started reading and got to chapter 8 when I fell asleep. I guess I didn't want to kill myself and have my eyes "burn up" as KJ put it so eloquently.

Finally finished in about 1 1/2 weeks. I'm soooo ashamed. hahaha

My roommates thought I was crazy. I got the book home on the 21st at 1:30 a.m., and finished at 7:30 that night. I only stopped to take a shower.

It's the only book that's captivated me enough to be able to keep reading while that sleep-deprived. Yea for Harry Potter!

That's what the Harry Potter books do to us. They make us want to stop doing anything and everything, and just read.

I didn't want to attend my friends wedding that Saturday night, because I didn't want to put the book down. But, I went. And then, Sunday morning, I want to put a Bible cover on the book and take it in to church with me. My partner said, "NO WAY" to that idea. So, I left it in the car. HARD TO DO!!!!

Yeah, I'm definately a HP fan. But, I honestly love reading. And when I find a book that I just can't put down, then I will want to read it whenever I can.

i finished it in 4 days. i got it saturday morning and finished it tuesday night, staying up until 3 AM some nights and falling asleep from exaustion with the lights and my glasses on. i couldn't put it down!

I was thinking about how many THOUSANDS of people, all around the world, were doing absolutely NOTHING that Saturday when the book was released, other than reading it. Can you just imagine that? It is absolutely mind blowing to think that literally thousands, if not millions of people in the world were doing the same thing at the same time.

What I love about the Harry Potter books is that some many young children today have found the love of reading. With all the distractions in todays world (video games, tv, movies etc) reading had become a lost art, especially with children.

My nephew is 11 years old and she stays up till mid-night every friday and saturday so that he can read Harry Potter. His mother is all mad cause she thinks it's to late for him to be up. I told her why punish him for doing something extremely constructive. If an 11 year old boy wants to stay up to READ (of all things) go ahead and let him do it.

The impact these books have had on the youth today is mind-boggling

I finished it in two days, but my sister finished it in one day after coming home on a red-eye flight. She fell asleep with the book in her hand, but she still finished!

I finished it in one day. I read very fast. I also stayed up sooo late because I just had to know who died.

First time to read it it took me 2 days but after I wanted to read it again, the second time I read it it took me a month but I got every detail.

Oh yeah, I really need to take time and reread book 5... go over the minute details. Actually, I think that I'm going to reread the entire series. Gotta have SOMETHING to do while waiting, and waiting... and still waiting on book 6.

By the time she finishes writing book 6, we should qualify for degrees in Harry Potter!

Hey, now there's a great idea. Can we GET a masters degree in Harry Potter? Hmmmmmm... or a PhD? I think that I would like that.

I can't remember how long it took me to read OotP, but I think it was 2 days. I remember going to sleep the day I bought it, having finished half of it... and i'm pretty sure I finished the rest the next day

Here's another question: how packed was the store when you went to buy the book? I can imagine there were a fair few packed stores, but when I went to get mine it was just like any normal day in that particular book store. But I believe when the Chinese version was released there was a bit of a rush.

I got it the day it was released... 8am. The store wasn't packed at all. No one knew that they were open that early. They opened early just for that reason. It was nice... and I didn't have to stand in line. Walked in, grabbed the book and went right to the register.

Bought mine online got it the 2nd day after the release-boy was I happy to see the UPS man.

Next one, I am at the store the minute it is released.

I would have finished it in a day, but I had to go with my mom to this Health Clinic to help her set up and stuff and didn't get to read it all that day.

I got the book at midnight, and I finished it at four pm the next day. I didn't do a single thing. My eyes were KILLING me...

I bet that they were.... it's hard to put these HP books down, isn't it?!

I remember I was at a sleepover the night before, and I ordered it off of amazon.com. I got picked up and there it was in the front of the car. I nearly beat the crap out of my dad, but I had to pay for it before I could even take it out of it's package. I got home at about 10:00, and read until 2:00 the next morning, but I stopped to go to karate and eat, that was about it, so it took me about 12 hours.

But I couldn't make myself read past the "Department of Mysteries" chapter, it was too depressing, lol.
