Hey everyone i am new and just stopping by to say hi! I actually just found out that gerry woo and harlemm lee are two different people. I looked at all the things that were up here about him and started wondering so i emailed Fame and a represntive sai that as far as they know they are not the same people. It really doesnt matter to me because i love harlemm lee and he really is an inspration to me. They also said that there were two people in the fame top ten that did have records out at one time or another but they didnt say who. It doesnt brake the rules to have had a record anyoe could have joined. I think that if i were in harlemm shoes i must likely would have lied about my age too. I mean lying is bad don get me worng but i dont think he would have gotten as far as he has if he didnt lie at first. Anyway i love everyone on the show and hope all of them have there dreams come try.

It's been confirmed in print that Harlemm's old name was Gerry Woo. I have some distant relatives who used to know him personally, and they also confirm this rumor.

Thank you for clearing that up!!! That is so cool your relatives know him. Was he an artist in the philiapines(sp?)? did he have big hits. Well thanks again for clearing that up!

Gerry Woo's legal name change to Harlemm Lee is no big secret and is no crime at all. And no - he was not an artist in the Philippines. There is also a Gerrie Woo (female singer), wife of musician Jack Costanzo.
