What are the "Rules" for Fame!

I'm just curious what the "rules" for qualifying for Fame! are. I have looked on their web site and cannot find anything.

I know that there is an age limit (16?), but what about experience? It seems that there's a lot of back and forth on some of these threads about some of the contestants and whether or not they are "professionals".

I'm wondering if there are actual rules that state that a contestant cannot be a professional and, if there is, is there any guidelines on what a "professional" is? I don't know a lot about the individual contestants, but it seems that Harlemm, Serena, Shannon and the new guy (Tyce?) could all be considered a professional in some manner.

I agree the show seems less than well thought out. It looks like it was slapped toegether in the wake of American Idol and is being invented as it goes along. Also, the fact that they're picking a winner with four left, and that wasn't announced until now, seems to mean NBC wants an early end to it.
