Tice Diorio's real name is Keith Diorio and he is a professional dancer from NYC. He was in the Broadway company of Fosse. Come on now Debbie do you really need to hire professionals to make the show interesting? Sad Sad Sad.

Yes but don't you want one of the people you have been cheering for to win or would you rather see it go to a profession al who has been brought on the show for ratings.

IRONICALLY I just came across an old Dancemagazine from January 2000 and guess who graces the cover? Keith Diorio! in the cast of Fosse!!! He even has a small bio in the magazine! It was purely coincidence - I just moved into a new house a few days ago and am still unpacking boxes - this is the ONLY Dancemagazine I came across!!!!! WEIRD HUH!!!

Maybe its a sign! LOL!

Please see the topic I started titled "What this competition is *really* about." In it, I offer my theory on why Diorio is being brought to the show.

In a nutshell, I believe Diorio has already been selected to star in the Broadway show Fame: The Musical, and he's being brought on the TV show to drum up interest and help build an audience for the broadway show.

I can tell you that that is absolutely untrue. He really did send in a video like everyone else. If he just showed up at the Broadway audition I'm sure he would have gotten it, but your whole theory that he was preselected is not what happened.

He actually does go by Tyce (different spelling than Tice) and Keith...Diorio. You can find tons of dance bios for him on the web under Tyce Diorio. Everyone in my dance company absolutely knows who he is...although after taking a poll we each knew him as either Tyce or Keith. He's an amazing JAZZ dancer, not just hip hop. Although, none of us have seen him sing before...so perhaps that's the "breakout" he's looking for. It does seem unfair that someone who is so well known and admired in the dance community, has a chance to compete against these amateurs. But as a dancer, I look forward to every opportunity to see him perform, as I saw him live in the Janet Jackson tour and when he was in Fosse on Broadway - and he definitely has stage presence. Our dance company didn't think he was a spoiler though, we thought he was a RINGER. He's a well known teacher/choreographer/performer. He was even in the show FAME LA a few years ago. As dancers, we would already consider him as having "made it".

Also...the third threat is not attitude...it's acting - which still boggles us i.e. we were taught a triple threat is being an actor/singer/dancer.

Because Keith/Tyce is well known in the dance world doesn't exactly make him a houshold name. The winner of this should become another Kelly Clarkson or Ruben Studdard.
There are a couple of things I don't get-
One is, why does it matter that Keith/Tyce has performed professionally? It is my understanding that several of the contestants have lengthy resumes as well.
The other is- why shouldn't he be just as entitled to a shot at winning this? Considering the amount of time he has spent TRYING to become a household name....the eight weeks that the "poor contestants" have put in are peanuts. If its about blood sweat and tears- Tyce is the winner hands down.

why is he the winner when he isnt the best singer? yes he is the better dancer, he is a pro-he better be the better dancer, he is NOT the best singer and when do we get to really see the acting skills?

Isn't it about being a triple threat? Of course he isn't the singer Harlemm is , but Harlemm isn't the dancer Tyce is!!
And as far as having stage presence and good looks....Tyce is the winner, no question.
I'd be suprised if Tyce won only because its quite obvious that people have some psychological connection to the other contestants after seeing them week after week, and Tyce is the "new Guy". But like Tyce said last night, they have all already won by being there. He really doesn't care about winning. He is just so happy to be on this national TV show!

So he is left with awsome dancing. Yeah I would go see him dance on stage. But please have compassion for the audience Tyce and forget about singing!!!!!!!!

He has just recently begun singing. Ask yourself this question....is Madonna, J. Lo, Paula Abdul or even Justin Timberlake for that matter brilliant singers?? This isn't American Idol.

He is cute and seems to have a nice personality! His dancing is definitely good but take a look at Brandon in the group number! He is every bit as good of a dancer as Tyce and he is a much better singer. It is nice to see that Tyce is somewhat humble and seems sincerely happy about being on the show. He is talented (of course) but I would be dissapointed if he bumps Brandon off next week.

I guess a lot of this has to do with personal taste. I don't really understand why people feel the need to insult those that are up there though. They are all very talented, that's for sure, they wouldn't be there otherwise.

However, I personally don't care for "oversingers", people that can't sing one song straight, and feel the need to yodel on every note. I'd rather buy albums of someone with a more average voice, if the music is great, and I'm definitely more entertained by a good looking's person's video, esp. if they can dance, not to mention a whole concert.

But like I said, personal taste....

I agree Tyce is nice to look at and a great dancer but his singing will elimate him next week. And the other contestants have had-- what 6 weeks--- to build a fan voting pool to draw from

you are right! Unfortunately Tyce hasn't been given the same chance to develop a fan base. But there are a lot of people out there, like me, whose favorites sadly have already been eliminated from the competition, and who might find Tyce('s appearance) interesting enough (to stir up the competition and) to vote for him. Why not, since they can't give their vote to their actual faves anymore?!

I think Tyce is sooooooo HOT!! and he is an awesome dancer, i hope he wins! Also, about his acting skills, someone who has as much stage experience as he does im sure it good at acting. As a dancer i know every time you are on stage to dance you have to be able to act somewhat, its all comes with being on stage. Anyways... all i really wanted to say is that Tyce is hot and i luv him!! ***** later

Well uh yeah keith (tyce) diorio already has a hugeeee name for himself, and is a well known dancer/ choreographer, so i think i might have to agree with someone who said before that he was put on the show as like maybe idunno a hoax or something, like it was planned,like they did that just to get reactions from the contestants, cus if the creators or whoever is in charge of this damn show knew how big he actually is in the industry and what hes done, they would have considered others. He has everything that the show is giving, like contracts forwhatever, and uh dancing training etc, so itd be pretty messed up if he so happened to win u know? Cus all the others may not have had the chance like he had to do all this, so the others definetly deserve to win, not saying keith is like a bad guy or anything hes awesome, just i think it was planned for him to come on the show for a reason, maybe we'll find out in the end!!!!! who KNOWS RIGHT??

and just to say about a post before keith has been on numerous television shows before!!!! if u wouldve gone to this site i found , lists achivements and stuff hes done ud see too, hes toured with janet jackson for christ sakes!!!! and hes been on j.lo's television concerts yanno like uh that one she had on nbc or abc cbs whatever it was, and not to mention in the braodway show fosse, and NUMEROUS other appearances, so debbi allen being a good uh choreographer n all, u know she knows about keiths achivements n **** right, she HAS to know, if not then she must be in another world, even the not so big dancers know who this guy is dude!!!!! So thats why it seems like he was put on fame for some reason that the show just doesnt want us finding out, or maybe they will later who knows, lots of shows r fixed remember that, so dont believe things like that, all the tv peeps want is to make money and do it the best way they know how, and sometimes they deceive the audience, and on this one, i think they might jiust be doing that!!!!!! and dont get mad at me im just stating facts, and my OPINION!! lolz we all have a right to that right???????? yeah!!!!! :O) )
