What are the judges looking for?

Most of my favorites have been voted off before they even made it to the finals!
For example: Michelle Livigne, she was good but the judges said she was too provocative! Whats up with that?
Well, so what are they looking for?

Well... I don't remember who Michelle Livigne is any more. I really liked the girl who sang "Big Spender", and I thought for sure the judges would get rid of Raymond Lee early on.

Now that America is judgin -- well, from American Idol, I knew America was deaf. I mean, Joshua Gracin got voted off after Trenyce? Ruben was getting BORING and Clay was just starting to shine as well as Kimberly... I thought Kimberly should have won it all.

Where I'm coming from, I'm a musical director of a group and a singer myself - so I have a good sense of pitch and tone. I also dance and do choreography for a group - so I just find the fact that Raymond Lee is still in the game to be reprehensible!! I don't think Lauren Hildebrant deserved to get voted off.

So... I think it's time for Shannon Bex and Raymond Lee to get the boot. Shannon was FLAT for most of her song and Johnny's judgement was spot on. Yes, she's pretty, sexy, and can dance but she was BAD. I adore Alex Boyd and Harlemm Lee. I'm also getting tired of Justin Jacoby - same old s___, different day. Serena Henry is good, but a bit too cocky for my taste. Moy is cute, but can't sing ballads -- great dancer, though! These are the ones that stand out for me.

I do agree, the judges in American Idol were deaf! Michelle Livigne was the first girl, and she sang Black Velvet. I like Shannon Bex, but Raymond Lee is not one of my favorites.

Raymond shouldn't of made it to the finals. No offense or anything, but he doesn't deserve to still be in the show.

Certainly no offense to Raymond as a person! But he just pales in comparison to the others. I don't find him particularly charismatic, he still comes across as a chubby dork and he always has pitch problems in his singing. As a dancer, he seems to be a wee bit behind the beat which is irritating.

I definetly agree. He has pitch problems and he is usually behind the beat in dancing, and that is irritating.

I disagree about Shannon. I watched her performance 10 times and she was only flat one time at the end of the performance while dancing up a storm ( good excuse cause this is ALSO a dance competition )

tHATS TRUE. bUT yOU HAVE TO ADMIT, SHE IS A GREAT DANCER AND SINGER, SO IT'S OKAY IF YOU MAKE ONE TINY MISTAKE.

BUT IF RAYMOND MADE A MISTAKE, IT WOULD BE OVER FOR HIM.

SO THE QUESTION NOW IS, WHO'S THE PROBLEM, AMERICA OR THE JUDGES?????????

If you saw American Idol, you know that America votes with their heart and not with their ears. Watching fame, America is also a bit blind, too or is voting with beer goggles - hence the Raymond Lee "mistake".

Because the judges are just giving opinions now, the problem is now the American voters. I think I would prefer to have the judges make the cuts (although they kept Raymond Lee, too!).

Regarding Shannon, I have to respectfully disagree about her last performance. She was FLAT most of the time during the song, and I'm sorry... but you should be able to dance and sing at the same time. Moy did a great job with "Black Cat", and think of Madonna and Janet Jackson who sound great while they are executing dance moves. Think of the Broadway stars, too... I saw Bebe Neuwirth in "Chicago" and she was phenomenal.

I think Shannon is very talented but she needs to learn how to control her voice - she likes to get in that brassy tone too much and I don't think that's her best presentation. I liked Lauren Hildebrandt because her vocals were strong and I thought she was a good dancer. Allyson Arena is apparently very used to singing and dancing at the same time, Jamisen is not.

I don't really want Jamison to win. I respect your comments, but Shannon Bex is still my favorite. But if Michelle Livigne was still in, she would also be my favorite.

I think Shannon is trying, and with practice to build stamina, and practice with stamina, she will improve. Jamisen isnt used to singing and dancing at the same time. Thats why she is not a favorite of mine. i do like Allyson Arena, who is very used to singing and dancing. if she doesnt make it here, she could definetly make it on Broadway. We saw she know how to partner, because she and Garry did that in the first Finals round.
However, Shannon has very star-like looks and additude.
