Did anyone else simply LOVE the development of the Weasley twins?. As in the previous books, they provided most of the humour, but as i was reading this book, I actually found myself laughing out loud at some of the things they did and said!! Especially against Umbridge...

What do you think Molly will do to them when she finds out they left school and opened up a joke shop????

What do you think she'll say to Harry when she finds out he financed it?

Oh man... I think that Fred and George are so wonderful. I love that they have such fun with life, and want to make people laugh. I loved all the chaos that they caused with Umbridge, especially at the end, when they were making fun of her in front of everyone, and made their brooms come to them and they just took off.

they were great and much needed characters in the 5th book to lighten up the mood at times... i also see ginny as taking after fred and george in the 5th book, shes not shy and she can make up excuses so easily without any hesitation like in the beginning where she was chucking dung bombs at the door to where the OotP meeting was being held with snape

"who's left all those dungbombs outside the kitchen door?"- mrs.weasley

"crookshanks," said ginny unblushingly. "he loves playing with them"

i just love how easily she did that.

I LOVED when Ginny came up with that fast answer... not even thinking about it. It was just natural for her to say like... as if she were saying, I'm a girl. Just a fact. She might just take after her brothers.

I love the Weasley twins. With the book being so dark they are a breath of fresh air.

Very good point. This book is by far the darkest, and the twins, and even Ginny, brought some light throughout the darkness. I hope that we will continue to see them in the future books, and that it simply won't be brief little intervals with them. Now that they are away from the school, there won't be any of that daily interaction that we get with them in the Gryffindor common room... listening to them selling off their latest joke inventions, or testing out on others, etc...

I'm moving this thread over here, because we already have a Weasley Twins thread going.

Future for the Weasley twins? post #1 quote:

I think the humour of the Weasley twins is one of the highlights of the books. However, they were used considerably more in this book than in any other. I'm not complaining, and it may just be because they are now closer to Harry due to the refoundation of the order. I'm just worried that this book was the finale of their contribution to the saga, especially in light of their departure. Don't get me wrong, that was a brilliant scene, but it made me suddenly think that their expanded role in this book was because it was intended to be their climax. Any thoughts?

No problem. Just trying to keep us from having multiple threads on the same topic. Although, we already do. But, if it's new, I can catch it at the beginning and move it.
