Is it just me or is Debbie really irritating? I grew up when the movie Fame came out, and when the TV series Fame ran. I loved Debbie Allen. I considered her the best choreographer there could be, now... she is really getting on my nerves on this show. She doesn't seem very genuine in her comments, she snits at Carnie, and she is always yelling like a frat boy at a keggar. Has anyone else noticed this?

DEBBIE ALLEN JUST HAS SASS AND TELLS IT LIKE IT IS...DON'T MESS WITH MAMA!!!!

did Debbie choose who the judges are gonna be? yes, she has sass but she needs to let the judges do their job. if a contestant needs constructive feedback, then let then judges do it!

Thank you. After all, it's the judge's job to provide the constructive criticism or praise, not the person that picked them for the competition. Debbie's part is done, as far as that goes.

All 12 finalists are extremely talented. It's okay to let her get her say in. I rather like her encouraging side and the way she she leaves with them when they are voted off. Her concern has to mean a lot to each contestant. You Go Mama!

I noticed the same thing, right from the very first show. Not only is she irritating, but she seems to be leading the judges and the voters. It appears as if she has some favorites and appears to be playing the partiality game. And, Alex Boyd seems to be her favorite as far as partiality goes. I wonder why?

The kid is near the bottom, IMO, as far as OVERALL talent goes.

She really needs to let the "Industry Experts" speak their peace and stop whining about constructive critisism.

I agree with most of you, she does get irritating... she never let's the judges really say what's on their mind unless she agrees with it!!! Obviously Debbie is there to be the word of strength and to push them to do their best. Let's face it though, every performance can't be the best and everyone has their flaws. That's what the judges are their for, to Judge and let them know what their flaws are. Not everyone can be lying to the contestants every time telling them their great. Cause some nights they might just not be great. The criticism is not to hurt, it's to help. How can they learn from their mistakes if Debbie doesn't let them hear them, casue as soon as a judge says something bad she quickly stops them with her comments.

Regardless what the judges say or Debbie says... we each have our FAVORITES for whom we'd vote for, regardless what anyones says. If i like someone and the Judges say that person did an awful job... I'd still vote for them, even if I knew they weren't at their best THAT night!!!

Debbie needs to be more calm and express her emotions, just not that passionately (let the judges speak, good or bad that's what they are getting paid for).

Take Care,

John

To the viewers it may seem like she's annoying, but to the performers, she is their little light of encouragement through this whole thing. I mean imagine reading through websites telling them they suck or standing up there hearing the "panel of experts" giving them "constructive criticism"... it's gonna hurt, and having someone there telling them that they do have a future and they are talented can mean so much.

I actually was thinking that she's wayy too nice and perhaps she's secretly super evil, but I was told that she's genuinely very nice and invited all the finalists to her home to watch the show when it airs.

It's so funny becuse me and my momma were sayin the same thing but for different reasons. We think that she's being kind of fake. But sometimes she's really annoying too.

Hey, if they can't take criticism now, they are NEVER gonna make it in that business. They aint babies, although I think some of the posters in this forum, especially the Alex Boyd goo goo girls, are unfamiliar with the reality of the world.

The judges need to start being honest and quit playing for the audience. If someone sucks, at a particular phase of the competition, they should say so, and, quite frankly, Alex Boyd is the worst dancer on that stage, and if they are to go by the rules, meaning a "triple threat", he deserves to be eliminated. END OF STORY. Harsh, but real.

I think Alex Boyd is really good. He has a very nice and smooth voice and when it somes to dancing he may not have the most complicated moves or anything, but it's not like he completely sucks at dancing. Though I don't think Alex will win this competition, I think he has the strength phisically and mentally to make it in this business.

Preach on brotha' man, keep it real!!!!

What you 12 year old "Magazine Readers" see is the "Stuntin" that these people do, fancy parties, big cars, jewerly, nice homes ect.

Facts are, I am a promoter, and have been with Million Dollar recording artists and have seen the back stabbing and cold hearted cut throat manuvers that this industry has to offer. Nobody is your "Friend", they just play the role.

I have seen managers get fired, b/c artists are losing that "hunger"that got them to the top and publicity kept them there for a short ride, but when its all said and done, and your pink belly shows, you are ripped from the limelight, exploited and treated like garbage.

The constructive critism is something they should toughen up for while they are "LOCAL", you don't learn that while being "Nationally Syndicated"!!!!

These are the cold hard facts!!!!!!

End of story.....

Good job at pointing guys at pointing at the harsh reality of the business.

Just don't forget that some of those contestant just barely stopped sucking on their MAMA's breast!!!!!!!! They've never been out there in the jungle...

Debbie is trying to make the transition smooth for them. Don't loose your compassion please. They'll have plenty of time to discover that life is a B.....!!!!!!!!

People need to remember that this is Debbie's show, production, etc. etc. When someone criticizes a performer that DEBBIE ahnd picked - she takes it as a personal affront to her talent searching skills - at least I think its a possibility why she acts the way she does.

If that is the case, which it might be, then the entire show is tainted, shouldn't be on the air, and very biased. If so, it ruins the honesty of the entire series.

This is exactly the reason that the REAL people in Hollywood are so messed up!!!! They think that they are EVERYTHING that the American people want / need. If people would just be honest, it might not be so tradgic to walk down Hollywood and Vine at night. Broke down people that sold thier dreams out to cocaine and booze, b/c their career is in the gutter and now they are stuck wiping tables at a local diner.

SAVE THE WORLD PEOPLE, SPEAK THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!

okay so tonight Debbie was not nearly as irritating, but she really needs to stop all the yelling. I agree that she is "protecting" her babies, I would too. but she really dosen't have to be so obnoxious about it. I admire her enthusiasm, but hello! we are not at a drunken frat party.

The most irritating thing is her loud laugh when a performer finishes. Watch. Everytime someone is done she comes out

AHAAAA AHHAAA

sounds like an injured cow

I have a feeling that there were a lot of complaints about Debbie. And, that is why, IMO, the procedure as to how, and when, the judges gave their opinions on the performers was changed to have it done when the entire group was on stage, near the end of the program.

That way Debbie could not be standing next to her favorites and have derogatory things to say to the judges if they had negative comments about them.

And, all I can say is, finally, good riddance to Justin and Alex. BTW, did anyone notice that Debbie called Alex "baby" as they were walking off stage. He has been her favorite since day one.

I really like Debbie and feel she is a sincere person.

However, everytime someone finishes a song is all I can hear is the Aflac Duck!!!

I think what bothers me most is that Debbie seems to come off as very fake, I am sure she really has faith in the contestants, she really has helped them improve in their dancing. I just can't get past the fake enthusiasm. Oh well, just my pet peeve.

I am actually glad she is one of the hosts.
