This is for Alex (since he indicated on the show he does read the forums on the web, so I hope you see this).
I did a show with you, Alex, back in 1996 - Dominion Stage's (Arlington Virginia) production of "The Music Man", where you portrayed the role of Winthrop (Mr. "Gary, Indiana") at the ripe old age of 11. (I was one of the "teen" (term used loosely) female dancers in the show, blonde, paired with the lead male dancer John Monnett). How proud I am to see you all grown up (you have grown about a foot, and a voice change to boot!) and shining on the show FAME. I must admit I didn't recognize you at first! I got in touch with my friend Kim Sheard (who played Zaneeta in the same show) and said "Why do I recognize this Alex Boyd?" She said,not missing a beat "That was our Winthrop". A glance at the old program and publicity photos and sure enough, its you, Alex now all grown up!
So we (both Kim and myself) wanted to pass along to you how excited we are for you, how proud we are, and hope that you are proud of yourself for such an accomplishment! Your singing and dancing are phenomenal, and we know you have been working hard on your talent all these years! Keep on "working it", and know that you have old friends in VA watching (and voting!)
