So who thinks that DEI has something funny going on with their restrictor plate engines. I know it has to be something with the engine whether it be legal/illegal. I am a Jeff Gordon fan, but I dont hate Jr. So this is not a case of sour grapes. It just seems a little to obvious to me.

It could be engines, the aero package, or just the setup. Part of it is just that Dale Jr. knows how to put it all together on those tracks.

Well I feel that NASCAR wants little E to take his father's place. But can you really blame NASCAR for bending the rule a little bit. Dale Jr is there biggest star and they have to make sure he stays that way. But at the same time it's unfair to the other drivers that NASCAR is somewhat playing favorites. But what people need to realize is that nothing on this earth is fair including sports.

When Dale Jr. was asked about this, his reply was "Think Friction". That could be aero package, engine, chassis, maybe something as simple as wheel bearings. Who knows. I too am a Jeff Gordon fan and it is amazing that they (DEI) have hit on something that nobody else has found. You have to give them credit no matter who you are a fan of. Remember a few years back when Evernham cut off the excess wheel studs to have less rotating mass? It's probably something very simple.
