I read that James Gandolfini, after all the pay raise stuff that went on, went and handed out checks to the cast and crew from his own pocket, totally about 500 large!

Last night's episodes were terrific

Ok...you got me...being from Chicago I like this show alot. Its scripting is as close to real as it gets. When is the new season?

It starts in November. I think they are just finishing up filming Season 5

Mine is Tony

Tony is a cool character....His wife... But I really like the guy who is springsteens guitar player.....He really looks like a mob thug to me.

"HBO announced that it has agreed with producers of the award-winning mob drama for a sixth season. The cast currently is wrapping up production on the fifth season, which will begin in March 2004."

I don't know if I can wait until March!! The current rerunning of all episodes will be done in November from what I can figure.

March 2004? Wow - that's a good ways off still. There will be at least 4 more seasons of Survivor in that period of time.

Tony, Paulie and Christopher are my favorites - though I have to give the edge to Paulie because he provides such pitiful comic relief at times that I can't help but laugh and laugh.

When is the first new episode?....I have worn out the re-runs..

The new season starts airing this fall...from what I can determine, sometime in November as that is about the time the old episodes will be done rerunning

I, as well, adore this show! We have this great program where I live called HBO on Demand (HOD).
You are able to pull up movies from a list of about 40 different movies, up to 20 episodes of every series on HBO, and a ton of documentaries, kid's programs, sports events, etc. whenever you want to.
You can fast forward, rewind, pause, etc. just like it is a VCR so if you miss an episode of The Sopranos you can go to HOD and play it as many times as you want.
The programs get switched about every other month so if they show season 1 again for 2 months, they will then show season 2 again for 2 months... It rocks!

They have now come out with Showtime On Demand, Movie Channel On Demand, as well as golf central, BBT, comedy central, home and garden, food network, etc.!!!

I'm almost finished watching Season 1 of this show. At the start I thought it was stupid... now, I'm thinking it's okay, I hope the ends good.

The show is remarkable. I absolutley love it and I plan to buy the whole DVD collection.
My favorite character is Tony.

That's the thing though, I don't like any of the characters they have their moments, but they usually just act stupidly... I was hoping for something more like a modern godfather... hm... I'm sure it'll get better though

I'm still not finished the first season will soon, I guess... up to disc 4 in the DVD set...

I would say Tony Soprano IS a modern day Godfather. Cellphones and Excursions everywhere

Last night's episode was awesome and I loved how Paulie and Christopher brought up the Russian! I had just watched "The Pine Barrens" episode a few hours before so it was very fresh in my mind.

Wonder if at some point the Russian shows back up?

My dad LOVES this show.

Are any of the true Sopranos fans like myself watching the Sopranos on A&E?

I was really let down by the finale last night. I dont' want to spoil anything, i just thought it was a subpar episode

you're not spoiling anything if it's already aired...it sucked...it was an abortion. all 6 seasons, and we get a big goose egg at the end. chase thinks he's just misunderstood - no, david, you're just a moron.

I heard it left fans pissed off. No payoff at all.
