Funny.. I had all four wisdom teeth removed as a teen and it didn't affect my speech on bit, save for the next 24 hours where I had to keep gauze in the mouth to soak blood.. My wife had reconstructive surgery after a car accident in which she broke her jaw into two even halves, knocking her lower teeth every which way.. didn't seem to affect her speech either, save for the months she had to spend with her jaw wired shut. Though she can't really make farting sounds very well any more which kinda sucks
